Your use case is pretty much what a GoPro was invented for, so that would be my choice.
Love the GoPro, but I wouldn't say it's the best performance under low light, at least with the model I have (7 Black)
I don't like the fact that you need to have a subscription to operate files freely. And also the 11 mini is a fantastic idea, but the battery capacity isn't great to start with, and it is not replaceable. And the full size 11 is a bit bigger than action 3, and does not come with 2 batteries like action 3 does.
I need to be able to record 2 hours of raw footage.
I'm at the point of getting a dashcam, waterproofing it and hooking it into the frame battery pack that run the lights. Won't have OIS but with 4k video you can do pretty well with post-processing, and I'd much rather an SD card over whatever subscription BS GoPro are onto these days.
@schquid: A standard Hero 11 records onto an SD card, you don't need a subscription unless you want the cloud backup or no-questions replacement service.
its not really an action camera, this is more for walking around taking good stabilised video. For a Bike you want DJI action or Go pro. If you want cheaper go DJI action 2. We got hte duel screen one for under 300 its good value and we havenot had any overheating issues that have been mentioned in reviews.
It is what it is, pricy but, GoPRO is my first choice.

I am in the market for an action camera for cycling. I need good image quality in poor light and image stabilization, good battery life, waterproof rating and convenient mounting options… At the same time, I want it to be not extremely expensive.
It seems that it is almost impossible to find one.
Akaso - too poor image quality.
DJI Action 3 - seems to be the best option but also seems to be a little overpriced for what it is.
GoPro 11 and mini - good option but mounting and video export seems tp be less straightforward than DJI.
Have never heard of this subject one. I wonder how it compares. Will be hard to mount this gimball one…
