No idea about this Map coffee machine.
But look like a good price for a capsule machine.

You mean she replaced another model twice or this one?
She bought this model, and it stopped functioning, as did the replacement she got. Now on her third MAP machine with fingers crossed.
Thanks, so not good than.
Some people have gone ahead and returned their machine, as it has two blinking lights and wont brew coffee. Big mistake - this is because the steam button was pressed before priming the machine for the first time. The machine is of a greater build quality than the Aldi for sure. Not to mention, for all the coffee geeks out there, this uses a bar pump rather than a boiler (MAP Perfecto machine).
Can't go past the Aldi expressi machine for $79 IMHO
Yup, we got one for the office a few months back & it's going great guns…gotta love the cheap Aldi pods too! :)
same here. bought it in November and it has been used and used. though got to be careful with the handle and jammed pods.
Got one for the wife's work around November too, broke due to misuse, replaced at no cost (even delivered the replacement unit)new one has'nt missed a beat (7 staff so i guess being used 5-12 times a day 5 days a week) bought one for home been fine, but nowhere near as much use, be carefull with the handle if it is tight the pod is in wrong, eject it and put it back in.
In Aldi they also now do Decaf and hot Chocolate .
I've got the Aldi one, but this looks to have a steam wand, which the Aldi machine does not.
what capsules do these take? nespresso's? looking for something for the office
MAP coffee pods, they are sold @ ALDI, Target, even Officeworks.
You need a Nespresso machine to take Nespresso capsules
I'd say, this being a MAP machine, maybe you need MAP capsules!?
I dunno, maybe the MAP coffee website will tell you?
lets look
http://www.mapcoffee.com.au/buy_capsules
There it is!, oo, they're significanlty cheaper than Nespresso capsules!
Now I can see why I'd buy a Map machine over a Nespresso, cheaper machine, cheaper capsules!
I have a chance to try the ALDI one and Nespresso at their shop.
I found that the Nespresso one seems better or may be just the capsules I tried.
I think they work with the capsules from ALDI, right?
You can use MAP and Aldi pods in the Aldi machine.
Not sure what you can use in MAP or Nespresso machines.
There are no Aldi stores in WA and they do not have an online store. Does anyone know where their machines can be bought online for a similar price?
ebay but may be more than $79.
Yes - have looked there already. I also looked at the K-Fee international site and they are listed as 99euro. I also emailed K-Fee, the makers of the machines.

Thanks for your email.
Unfortunately, Expressi coffee machines, milk frothers and capsules are exclusive to all ALDI stores and can only be purchased directly from the stores.
Additionally, neither K-fee nor ALDI sell these products online either and neither do we have the facilities in place to be able to deliver to customers directly.
As a last resort, you could try visiting the K-fee international website at http://www.k-fee-system.com/ and order the products you are seeking. Please note that international shipping costs may apply and that purchases must be made with care as returns and exchanges with our K-fee outlet here in Australia will not be possible.
I hope that I have been able to help you somewhat with your query.
I bought mine in Sydney and brought it to WA. Customs smile every time I bring a few boxes of pods in my hand luggage. If you know someone over east, let them ship it to you.
A similar machine was posted here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/73976
Bought this machine today, was lucky enough to find one at HN City Cross, SA. Sold out at Woodville so had to do a trip to the CBD but boy, was it worth it. I am a bit of a coffee snob to be honest (coming from a semi-automatic machine, grinding my own beans etc) and I will say this: the coffee you'll get from this machine is WELL worth $79. beautiful espresso shots with less hassle, with a lovely crema. The steam wand is also very good for the price of the machine, and you can really get a nice, velvety texture with your steamed milk. Obviously doesnt beat a fresh grind, but for this price you are going to get espresso of the highest quality you could get out of a capsule. Beats Nespresso by a mile (MAP being an italian roasted coffee). Highly recommend to anyone in the capsule coffee market, don't waste your time on a $500 nespresso machine!
My housemate has had hers replaced twice in the last month so not sure about the quality on these, but online they seem to have OK reviews
