      The Xiaomi TV Box S has usb ports to expand internal memory using a flash drive. Also, can use 'usb to ethernet' adaptor.

        @soda-pop: This can also be done with the ccwgtv. Can use Google own ethernet adapter or a usb-c hub with ethernet/usb/sd to add extra storage and a lan connection

        @soda-pop: That's what I do, I brought a hub (I think on Amazon). Plugged in the provided charger, ethernet and SD card/USB. Works great. I actually have three of them now

  i have the xiaomi 1st gen and the google tv HD (1080p not 4k version) ….tend to use the google tv much more …..it’s small, runs off USB power pack that google supply …. and costs $60 when on special ….. usb and external drive ? …… only an issue if you want to watch downloaded torrent ….. and you can cast from PC to google TV or phone if that’s where you have your download …. depends how much you stream and how much content you keep downloaded and if you find casting a hassle vs stored on local drive , but you need to get it into the drive and how often do you watch same move ?

Im currently using xiaomi box s (1st gen) for the last 3 years or more. I dont see the 2nd gen spec is anywhere higher than 1st gen.
