unlucky my 4070 order from Amazon UK got cancelled , it was a really good price..
I had ordered this, but I cancelled it as the "Item Model Number RTX 4070 VENTUS 3X 12G"
The box says 4070.
So if they send a 4070, then I'd have to send it back for a refund or would they have to send a 4070 ti?

Sometimes worth the chance if sold by Amazon because you have the ability to haggle with the support staff. I bought a Threadripper cpu and the listing had the wrong picture - they ended up sending an x299 mobo instead. I rang Amazon and they ended up letting me keep the mobo and refunded the total amount. I then sold the mobo on gumtree for half retail which netted me full profit and gave someone a sweet deal on an x299 board.

I agree the title says 4070ti, the pictures look 4070 so not getting my expectations up, if it's a 4070ti then that's a great price.

my order just updated est delivery date 12 Jun - 12 Jul. I also asked the rep if this was a TI or normal and they said TI. They also said if there is a mistake they will fix it.

Got a bit lucky with Amazon, but I had to go the Karen approach. They said they will refund me the difference from a different 4070ti model once it gets shipped

Oh Sorry, what I meant was If I ordered a different 4070ti model, they will give me the price of this one, which was $1013. They asked for links of the one I'm looking for and I sent them the Gigabyte Gaming 4070ti. They will honor (they don't honor if it's over 60% of the price) it while the other 4070 is in the process of refund so not bad ngl
So basically after the dust clears, you end up with a gigabyte 4070ti for $1013? That is not bad after all

@primetimus: Good luck mate. If you have the time, go for it. I'd recommend asking them as well if it's the correct 4070ti model before it ships. I brought up the two times that they told me it was the 4070ti model that should have been sent. Our conversation went like this:
Me: Unhappy with wrong model sent
A: "We can only refund when item has been received.
Me: "Can I talk to a supervisor please"
Transferred to supervisor
Me: Unhappy with wrong model sent
A: "You will have to wait for it to come back in stock for the 4070ti version for a replacement unit"
Me: "Could I get a different model sent to me for the same price"
A: "Sure, we'll refund you the price difference from the model you want and the Ventus Model"

I got this from having an initial chat, which seems promising "Not to worry if after delivery you receive a wrong product we will surely issue refund or replacement"
And I doubled down ensuring I get a "4070 Ti is the correct product" to which the response is "It is the same as the description" which shows a 4070 Ti.

@Clipyy: Did they raise the issue with the specialist team? And then get back to you within 1-2 business days. Their literally tell me that they don't do price matching with different brands. I've even talked to the supervisor but he was not helpful at all

After a bit of persistence I managed to get the same resolution as you guys. Reordered another 4070ti to get the difference refunded.
I ended up picking the Gaming X Trio model as the replacement as there werent many other choices.
Bit of stuffing around but good resolution in the end i think!
My ETA was 13 June+ before, it just shipped and updated ETA now next Monday.
I'm not seeing any other 4070 Ti from Amazon AU store atm… Kinda worrisome on the replacement now =/

Update: Incorrect item as usual. The supervisor I spoke to directly linked me the correct 4070 ti Ventus from Amazon AU in the end (that dude probably knows his GPU), so I didn't get an "upgrade" but I did promise a refund of the difference.
Works out for me as the next "best" thing would be Gigabyte 4070 ti Eagle since nothing else fits in my Ncase m1 (phew
one used model is available at lower price if you want more discount (or more challenges)
