You may be able to redeem a bonus copy of DIABLO IV from MSI if purchased before June 14th 2023 T&C's Apply. I'm not sure how MSI deals with grey imports when it comes to code redemptions. Assuming the orders don't actually get cancelled of course.

Full credit to mr626 for finding this. It's too good to keep hidden inside another deal thread.

Significantly cheaper than the all time low for the RTX 4070. Not sure if this a pricing error, or if MSI is trying to dump stock due to the VRM chip controversy with this model.

    I guess I'm selling my 3080?

    • +30

Sure if you want a downgrade

      • +11

Looks more like a sidegrade to me, with money my way.

        • Yes it's pretty much the same, only one higher on the list:
          https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

I'll prob wait till 4070Ti is $999 (or price protect and buy before end of tax year).
Should still be able to get 300-400$ for the 2060 Super i'd assume

          • @G-rig:

Should still be able to get 300-400$ for the 2060 Super i'd assume

second hand 3060 ti's go for around $350-$400 fyi

            • -1

              @povogamer: Oh right

My card is perfectly fine, only paid $480 in 2020

Was looking for tax write offs

      • +3

More ram and lower watts are good
        Less cuda?
        Any other issues

        • +6

The VRM thing, basically the heatsink isn't designed to make contact with them at all and in Guru3d's tests they spotted them running toasty at 97degrees.

They'll survive 100+ sure, but for how long? Looking at previous ventus cards that had a similar issue the general consensus is 2-3 years before something starts happening. Usually to the cards used in less well cooled cases as these chips are essentially relying on air cooling.

The other cards distribute the heat via the smallest of thermal pads so no doubt they don't take all that much to cool. I have some micro heat sinks sitting around and since the VRM's are visible near the top of the card I might see whether side-on cooling helps at all.

I'm not going to cancel my order since its a damn good price to upgrade one of the PCs from rtx2000, I'll see if I can DIY around the bad bits.

          • +1

            @Lighter Fluid:

since the VRM's are visible near the top of the card

If the Ventus 2X is the same layout as the 3X then that's only 2 of them. (1 Vcore + 1 Vmem)

There's a second Vmem VRM without cooling and it can't be accessed without disassembling the card.

            https://imgur.com/a/2r1F42u

          • @Lighter Fluid: possible to add some thermal paste onto the thermal pads for contact?

          • @Lighter Fluid: My 2060 super Ventus 2X hasn't missed a beat, don't game all day or anything though. Are the 3X quieter due to more fans?

Would have been a good price and pick-up, but for $995 wouldn't you get a 4070 Ti

          • +2

@Lighter Fluid: something something planned obsolescence

      • Downgrade?

  • $995 for me

    • +5

Are you logged in with Prime? The deal is exclusive to prime members.

      • My bad, not logged in.

  • It showing $995

  • Not sure about the 2X units.

The 3X were cleared by a few sites

  • +4

Showing the correct price for me, WTF what a find.

  • Thanks for posting this @Tyrx
As mentioned, the deal does appear to be a prime exclusive unfortunately, so you need to be logged in and a prime member to get the price.
It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but for the price I couldn't go past it

    • +2

You might not be thanking me soon - the influx of orders might cause them all to be cancelled, lol.

  • $642for me

  • +1

Showing $642.95 for me, logged in with Prime.

  • +1

Damn. Should I upgrade from my 1080 Ti? lol

    • +6

Honestly, for this price, I can't imagine getting a better deal.

      • +3

Yeah… ordered! lol. I wouldn't be able to fit a 4080/4090 Ti in my case anyway and I'd need to get a new power supply for them so this card should last me for a while. Plus saves me having to buy Diablo 4 too lol

        • +2

From the comments below - I don't think this qualify's for the D4 deal unfortunately. But honestly, for the ~$300 in saving, I'll take it

  • +2

sweet deal, Was about to pull the trigger on a 7900 XT. But for 1/2 the price, I can't go past this

  • +2

Sorry – there was a problem.

  • +2

Amazing price compared to the Oz local stock price.

  • May include D4? Is it because the redemption might be locked to Europe?

"Good graphics card a bit too expensive but hey, on the other hand I'm a bit annoyed that on Amazon we don't benefit from the CURRENT
Diablo IV PROMOTION offered by NVIDIA
in hindsight I wouldn't have taken it from you"

    • +2

Amazon isn't on the eligible vendor list for the MSI UK promotion. I'm not sure if this falls under the Australian promotion or not considering the deal is routed through Amazon AU though.

      • You bought it from Amazon Australian site and invoiced by them

        • Didnt work for me when I bought my previous gpu from amazon us through amazon au (2019 days). There was promo for Oceania region back then and it required stock shipped and sold by amazon au.

  • +1

Managed to get one, delivery at end of this month. Thanks OP!

  • -1

    Insanely cheap. thanks

  • +1

    Great price.

  • +2

Worth an upgrade from a 3060ti? Or not much difference?

    • +4

      Basically going from a 3060Ti-3080.

      • Oooh okay. Pretty tempting…

  • -2

best deal since 4000 series was released, and its still overpriced, Ha

    • +8

      Def not overpriced at $640

      • -7

same performance gpus for $100 less more than a year ago second hand, "but but 4000 series!"

        • +8

This is brand new. Can't compare

          • -4

@iDarelones: right so over a year passes, and they're still more expensive while also missing out on having it for.. a year

          • -2

            @iDarelones:

            cant compare

Agreed, cause they all got cancelled lmao

      • +2

The $600 to $700 range is my maximum spend for a video card. To me $640 is what a mid range xx70 card SHOULD cost. A shame I missed the bargain by 2 hours.

    • +1

It's a fantastic deal in the current market, but it's best not to let the still-not-over GPU price crisis make you lose all perspective.

Compared to the historical trend line, $640 for a x070 card this long after release isn't a bargain. We should be getting 70ti, 80, even 80ti for that kind of money by now.

Still, if you can't wait for prices to slowly, eventually correct, this was a great deal for today.

The history doesn't change that fact, just makes it unwise to upgrade now if you don't really need to.

  • Was thinking with the other deal posted earlier that $650 would be a somewhat decent price for this card.

And here we are, ordered it now. Doubtful it’ll be honoured but never know!

  • +5

    I'll buy at $500

    • +3

You'll be waiting a while then

      • +3

Eh, nobody knows for certain, but it probably won't be much longer.

NVIDIA and AMD aren't dumb enough to lose the bottom 90% of the market, and they won't need to. They're just milking those willing to pay more first.

        • +2

          Hopefully you're right.
So far they've been grudgingly giving ground. I could see them slowly dropping pricing in an attempt maximise profits

  • Thanks OP, bought one!!!

  • +3

Tysm omg, I've been holding since my 1070 I got for 600 wayyyy back.. finally upgraded !!!

  • +4

the VRM chip controversy with this model.

    What's this refering to?

  • +2

    Expired…price back to $995

    • Still showing at deal price for me.

    • I just bought for $642.95 like 5 secs ago, are you a prime member?

    • u need prime

    • hmm i just checked after seeing your comment, shows ~$694

  • +1

no need to upgrade my 3080 but ill buy it anymore

  • +1

dont need it but bought it cheers

  • +1

Don't need damn. Good deal. I'll resist.

  • Can no longer add to cart

  • Too late. Damn dman.

  • +7

My order was cancelled by the seller

  • +3

    order cancelled

  • Think it might be gone now. Not 100% sure though.

  • +1

Now I have two GPUs in one month. I was holding onto a 1060 for 7 years. :Cry

    • +2

I’ll help you out by taking one off your hands

  • Boooooooooooo!!!!

  • +2

Currently have RTX 3080 12GB so make no sense to buy….

    • I'm becoming a very stressed RTX 3080 10GB owner.

      • RTX 4070 is basically a RTX 3080 running at lower power at 1080p and maybe 1440p. I reckon if Nvidia can use TSMC to manufacture RTX 30 series, we will see some interesting results.

  • +2

Posting in the epic 4070 thread of ‘23 lol Ordered, let’s hope they turn up!!!

  • +1

Showing $995 now. Am a prime member.

  • +2

That's good. Hopefully we will start seeing the price of all the other GPUs come down like the SSDs and RAM.

    • +2

Just watch out for SSD and RAM deals to dry up when GPU prices really do return to normal.

Lots of people holding off for years will suddenly want to build a PC at the same time.

  • Price expired. That was quick!

  • Can’t add to cart

  • +6

We're writing to inform you that your order has been cancelled by Amazon UK. We' re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. You will be refunded within 3-5 business days.

    • That's a nice explanation. More detail?

      • +6

No proper reason given in the email.

        Cancel Reason: Seller Cancelled

  • -1

    995.00 for me :(

  • +2

    Anyone else get cancelled?

  • The new gold standard for pricing of this GPU

  • well that was quick

  • +4

I am guessing like 5 out of 500 will get one delivered. Where is melzabub?

  • There is a duty tax,so more like $740?

    • +3

I don't believe there are any duties unless the order value is more than $1000

      • +2

The gov got rid of this years ago

        • +2

Yeah, Amazon collects the import duty though.
What you see is what you pay

      • ah ok

  • +1

It might be price error. I missed..
