  If anyone wants to register their AirPods for warranty purposes…. May need to contact apple like I did. Initially they didn’t really like the tax invoice I provided as it doesn’t have the serial number on it….however after further checks they confirmed catch is a legitimate reseller and approved the warranty.

    From someone who once got scammed from Gumtree, these are some of basic things you can do to identify if you have received a genuine airpods.

    1. Look for serial numbers inside the case, most fake ones don't have them.
    2. If you can spot two holes inside the speaker grill, you've got yourself an authentic one.

  Got mine today, check against apple website and verified that they are genuine. However mine has a sticker saying its for Apple Malaysia.

    Got mine today, I checked my old airpods that I got from officeworks and it has the same sticker so I wouldn't be worried.

    These dates are quite often not accurate

    Contact apple and get them to change the warranty timeline by sharing your invoice

  Got mine today. They are genuine but as stated above, does not have 12months warranty when paired and will need a discussion with Apple. Pretty happy with them as they are much more comfortable than Samsung Buds Live. Pretty happy with them.
