I'm in Victoria and I regret not jumping in this deal the other day. Had it in my cart all good to go but felt a wave of rightassery wash over me that day. Non buyers remorse.

I also couldn't add to cart, could only buy now. For that reason, couldn't add another cheap item to get the $50 discount.

    I think listing is expired

  • Cant checkout

  • I got a Barista Pro it is fantastic

    • Please, correct me if I'm wrong - it's the same as this Barista Express, but with LCD and twice the pricetag?

Seems Breville includes the dosing funnel to both.

Brista Pro also has thermo jet heating so its ready to use as soon as you turn it on.

I think the pro heats up a bit quicker it also came with a welcome pack which had a few extras

I didnt pay double someone posted it on here a while ago i got it for in the 700 region which got me the welcome pack probablynworth 100 or bucks and a 50 doller store credit at TGGs which i used to get an extra kilo of beans

It was also coupled with shop back

      • Thanks, everyone - I was just editing my comment to correct myself.

Pro's better. I might have confused Barista Pro with Barista Touch.

I had pro but changed it to barista impress. Instant heat up doesn’t mean much as you need to do puck prep. Main downside I guess is the steam, but really depends on how many drinks you make.

          • @Kahbo: How are U finding the barista express impress? Do you use the auto tamp feature?

Isn't the slow heat up going to negate the convenience of the auto tamp?

            • +1

@chew_chew: When I turn it on, while it’s warming up, I will grind and auto tamp the coffee, when I’m done it’s almost done warming up. Hence that was never an issue. The downside is mainly waiting for the steam to heat up and the steam power

Barista pro- yes it heats up in 3 sec. But can you get your puck ready in 3 sec?

  • Can't add it to cart. And when clicking buy now, can't check out. Looks like it is over.

This is a great machine, at a great price. Got mine at start of COVID and it's going strong.

  • Hoping someone sees this:

For anyone who has bought these machines recently, does the pressure gage stop at or around 11 o'clock (4-4.5 bars) no matter what you do? I did a clear water backflush and that is the highest it goes to. I contacted Breville and they said newer machines don't go all the way and its working normal as long as it hits the espresso range. But i dont know.

    • Mine generally stays around 11 o'clock. The Breville "Masterclass" included with this machine also noted that this range was what you should be going for. Many online tutorials also seem to note that around 11 o'clock is ideal. I've just dabbled and experimented and am by no means a coffee connoisseur, so other may have different opinions.
