Great price for the new 3rd gen Apple TV 4K Wi-Fi model. Officeworks was able to price beat for me with 5% off.

Basically an iphone 13 in apple tv shell with no 5G function

    • Without a touch screen

  • Question, if I already have a SmartTV then what can I use this for?

    • +3

Infuse app to watch stored media.

    • Smart TV can play from USB drive

Doesn't compare, Apple tv is much snappier performance and many other perks i.e. spatial audio, scraping metadata on media etc.

Biggest downside of Apple TV is availability of decent iptv player apps with ability to record. Like tivimate in android tv for example.

    • The user experience. Love my Apple TVs, have used lg, Samsung and tcl smart tvs.

Even better paired with a Au, USA and uk Apple ID. You can install apps from every App Store this way.

  • is it latest gen?

  • Could potentially price match with Jb and then get 10% off jb cards.

  • Where to get 10% off JB GCs?

N.B. No ethernet on this model.

  • Thank you OP !

Note* this wifi model cannot be used for HomeKit home hub because it does not support Thread/Matter
you'd need the ethernet version instead

    • From my understanding it can be used as a HomeKit home hub, it just wouldn't support Thread/Matter devices.

      • You are correct as long as the entire HomeKit environment stays pre- iOS16.4 HomeKit Matter upgrade
or upgrade to iOS16.4 and decline the HomeKit network upgrade: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT207057

but once you upgraded the HomeKit network update, the non-Matter supported HomeHub will drop off the Matter-enabled HomeKit environment

Note* because I made that mistake ….
