"just unwrap the tablet" … um… never had to do that with a Quantum before.
Yeah that is strange, that text was a copy and paste from the 1-day site so I can't comment but it would be highly unusual to have to unwrap these, probably a typo but I just found this on the Finish site:

Unwrap one tablet from its protective wrapper.
Place the unwrapped tablet in the main dishwasher detergent dispenser and close. Use one fully dissolving tablet per wash load.
Run dishwasher. Optimal water temperature is 125° – 140° F.

So maybe we've all been doing it wrong all these years? (I never unwrap and haven't noticed any problems apart from sometimes the tablet isn't completely dissolved after the wash cycle.
That's a bad copy&paste on the part of 1-Day.
I sent them an email and asked and got this response a few minutes ago:
"I can confirm these are wrapped and the description is correct"
Not very useful as I was waiting for the answer to buy them and obviously now I can't (they were sold out anyway)…
Perhaps someone can confirm when they arrive…
Mine have arrived. Looks like regular Quantum to me, but I haven't used one yet.
Thanks - I will have enough tablets to last me about 2 years, but can't go past the bargain. I think the cheapest I have seen 40 tablets at Coles/Woolies is $15 (37.5 cents/tablet). So at 27.8 cents that's pretty good.

With so many specials on parallel imported Finish (exactly the same as the 'local' product, minus mark up) it's hard to keep up. I still have over 100 tablets left from a Harvey Norman special last year. Still, good to see retailers fighting it out on the price front.
