GearWrench 9412BE 12pce Combination Ratchet Spanner Set $69 + Shipping (Free C&C) @ Sydney Tools

400

Morning all, pretty decent discount on some quality metric ratchet spanners even though they do go on sale semi regularly last time was November 2022 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/741313). Stock levels are somewhat low around Brisbanes inner suburbs for QLD but managed to order mine C&C.

Happy tooling

I have these from 3 years ago, still going strong for working on cars every weekend

  • Yeah I’ve got a set of them too after reading on ozb about them - they’re enjoyable to use when I find a use for them. For me it’s general motorbike and shed use, not used daily. Great value at this price.

This looks good too. I don't have 12 point deep sockets

    • cheers got this aswell,

OP should add to the original post

now just need a screwdriver set

      • It's a good deal, I'm gonna post it.

Damn, I dont need it, but got the set and the link @rosebank sent. If only Sydney Tools customer service didnt suck, I would shop there more.

  • is flex head really worth it over non-flex?

    • Depends on what you're working on. Flex heads can be handy in tight spots. I have both types but mostly use the fixed ones, probably 90% of the time.

    • Flex heads are larger, heavier so they don't always fit where you need them to. More parts to fail and with GearWrench, it's bound to fail.
I'd never choose a flex head unless it was strictly for automotive use.
A stubby ratcheting spanner is my alternative to flex head

  • More stuff to buy I don't need LOL my wallet.

  • Thanks OP, looks quality.. can finally throw out my nasty cheapies.
