You can comfortably put Windows 8 on this. In fact, the Series 7 was what MS used to demo Windows 8 at the start of the year.
I would still hold off though as it may lack some sensors and may not have NFC. I would expect Surface Pro to be around the same price (if it launches here) around Jan next year.
Been using win 8 on this for almost half a year now. From Consumer Preview…Release Preview…from tomorrow..RTM! Works great! Use the pen on OneNote to take notes…and the gestures makes such a difference when switching between apps etc.
for 900 bucks i could buy a half decent laptop + a cheap tablet like the Ainol and still come out ahead!
yup, but wont have a windows 7 tablet..
Hope the china tablet manufacturers start making cheap tabs with arm cpus so we can at least have Win8 RT ver.
Not bad… these have been $1,600+ in Harvey Norman (although I believe the HN ones are i5's).

Yup..wish it had a keyboard dock like the transformer. Would be great to use it like a laptop when you need to..and as a slate when on the go.

700T1A-A04AU??? i can only see A01 , A03 & A05 on samsung website… where can I find the full spec of A04AU?
Didn't even realise this comes in a core i3. I have the Core i5 (128GB SSD) one running Windows 8 and it's awesome! Win 8 as a tablet OS is a pleasure to use due to the gestures. However, I would really wait for the new generation of Slates coming out once Win 8 goes public release as the battery life should be improved further.
yet, price will be much more. There is always a trade off.
Never tried windows 7 on a tablet, but I rather wait for windows 8. Just a guess but I don't think app compatibility would be very good with windows 7.
