Not a bad price for this budget Android tablet from Alldocube offering some decent specs and the downgraded version of the iPlay 50. Notable downsides is a HD instead of FHD display and no Widevine L1 DRM if you're into Netflix HD. The tablet is still good enough for light gaming, general use, ebooks or even a Home Assistant dashboard.

Featuring Android 12 with Google Play, 10.1" HD 1280x800 IPS display, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage (microSD support), UNISOC T606 Octa-Core CPU, 6000mAh battery with USB-C, 4G LTE with B28, Dual SIM, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and dual speakers.

    What a bargain

  • charging port is the notorious problem based on past comments on Alldocube tablets.

    • +2

Try using a magnetic charge cable so it can stay in the port?

      • Hasn't been reported specifically with this tablet, but that is a good solution.

    • +1

      Yep they sure are terrible
      Poorly secured/soldered from the factory.

If you are buying one for a kid, also get a magnetic charging cable

  • can I use it watching youtube and other video website?

    • +1

      Yes.

    Just ordered ten. Thanks

  • @Clear - any deals on the 50 Pro? They all seem to have expired. Have been considering the Samsung S6 Lite but the 50 Pro specs seem considerably better - is it actually better in real life?

    • +1

Cant comment on the S6 lite but i have a iPlay 50 (non pro) and it definitely does good for its price. Unlike some other less fortunate customers, mine seems to be working fine (after 5 months)

      • Mine too!

Be warned, the 50 Pro has a fatal flaw in its firmware, which they havent fixed (and likely never will).
From what ive read, switching tasks/apps crashes the launcher, and even alternative launchers (eg Nova) dont help.

Ive got a 40H, and its got a known bug with the Wifi, where it doesnt play well with Mesh wifi networks.
Theyve released a handful of firmwares, but none of them have fixed the mesh wifi issue.
Oh and the firmwares have to be flashed via USB cable too… and i hear it also factory resets tablet too >:(

      • Wow. Had no idea it was that buggy. Sounds like it's better to stick with the bigger brands. Shame, the specs certainly look impressive…

  • May be a good Home Assistant dashboard, the only question is if the browser itself gets updates to stay compliant with latest standards as Lovelace tends to be pretty demanding when it comes to new standards etc.

    • Fortunately browsers on the Google Play Store are updated frequently.

  • Alldoche is cheaper

I bought one of these and it bricked within 2 months with an irrecoverable boot loop. They want me to send it back without covering the postage expense to repair it. They don't track issues, so who knows what they'll do. There's no real recourse other than warning people to not make the same mistake.

    • At least they replied to you !
My 40H has screen ghosting now… so i filed a warranty claim last yr … but they never responded :(

Anyway, have to tried starting the tablet into recovery mode ?
Otherwise try re-flashing the firmware via USB cable ?

  • Hmm i wouldnt buy this actually..

the iPlay 50 specs are better

Would probably take the Lenovo M10 over this…

  • Any word on the spyware situation on these kinds of devices? Watched the LTT video recently about spyware on Chinese android tv devices and been wondering if the same applies to tablets.

    • No evidence of any concerns with these. They wouldn't risk their reputation on the global market by doing such a thing, unlike those generic unbranded TV boxes.

  • I wonder if these have the wifi issue like my iPlay_40H? Mesh wifi network has to be re-authenticated whenever you move from one node to another. PITA.

  • Looking for a simple tablet to hang on the wall for home assistant. Would this be fast enough to scroll through multiple pages & streaming from IP camera's ?
Or would a lenovo / Samsung A8 be better?

  • These are junk my sons 40h stopped charging after 1 year and is now bricked, company won't respond. Absolute waste of money

  • Alldocube uses junk battery. I bought a tablet from them 18 months ago, the battery died in less than a year.

  • If youre handy and brave… you could try replacing the battery ?
According to alldocube's repair video… you just rip off the back cover… and the battery is front n center…

Theres replacement batteries on AliExpress… like…

(im thinking the 40H battery is the same as the 40Pro)
