    Pretty meh price….

Good looking phone, but the a series beats it with an sdcard reader.

Why their flagship loses a feature is always odd to me.

    • +2

I upgraded from the S10 to the S22 and while I like the flat screen, it's annoying to lose the headphone jack and SD card slot.

      • +2

        There are workarounds for headphones.

But a phone advertising "pro photos" with no removable storage to offload on the go?

        Swing and a miss.

    Isn't S23 cheaper after trading with $10 Phones :)

    One of Samsung's best phones…

    No, it is not.

    • Lol literal copy paste description.

  • +4

Bad price. No deal even if this is the S23.

S22 standard has shocking battery life. Steer clear

    • It does out of the box, and although not ideal to have to disable a bunch of apps and put some into deep sleep, I have been getting a day and a half at least with "normal" use of the base S22. Just my 2c YMMV.

My biggest issue is the sub-par low light photos, lame zoom, and appalling video ISO. Without having to go to a phablet sized phone, the standard iPhone wins on all of these. iOS is the killer XD

  • I bought an As New refurb of the S22+ around this price last year. Has been a great phone, mostly same spec as this other than the larger battery and screen.
Not sure its worth this much now, but without Samsung doing mega trade in deals and what-not, probably still move a lot of units and wont be running out final stock for a while.

Bad price when you consider the 256GB could be had for cheaper in the past.

Also the phone's main dilemma is it's tiny battery.
It's tolerable if you debloat, don't have too many background apps etc. but definitely not ideal.

    S22 has terrible battery life.

    • Agreed. Im happy with the phone in general but the battery life shits me something chronic. I ditched the Pixel range because of it and I've managed to head straight into another model with the same problem.

      • +1

Unfortunately gone are the days when battery life and small form factor weren't mutually exclusive for flagships.

  • +2

JB needs to bring it down to under $500 at least, other still pretty ripoff

Our whole phone market is strange.

Overseas they steadily drop as support and general age slowly erodes.

Over here; outside of "sales" most stay near full price until obsolete. Its nuts.

      • apparently lots of people have money to burn. I don't understand it either, I bought an S23 for about $100 more when it launched.
