Good point, didn’t think to look at the time. I just checked mine and they are between 07-23 to 11-23 so it’s not terrible.
I mean I'm using some till today with date of Nov 2021. some of them do taste a bit bitter but that's about it. No problems otherwise
19c per pod according to the lie on the catalogue.
Pods last a lot longer past the expiration date as they are sealed in nitrogen gas. I’ve used a pod that’s 5 years old and the brew as as good as day one with its companion pod was half a decade before. I buy expired pods at a steep discount for this reason, happily.
Now fresh beans for my grinder need a baked date and not a beat before (you need to leave 10 days too off gas the CO2 gas) then use within n a month for the best fresh coffee
Nice heads up OP.
Spud Shed should let consumer know if the product is out of code but is a best before date.
Out of interest, what is "out of code". Never heard that term before.
I bought these today and all have 6+months on the best before date.
Out of code is a common term used in the food industry. Literally just means the product has past it best before or expire date.
OK, so these pods do not have a sell buy date. Only a best before and that is still 6+ months away so don't think it would apply here. I have seen shorter date coffee pods for full RRP at the big supermarkets.
Midland had lots at 3pm today. Near the tills.
Plenty of Load Bolaven with exp 25/11/24 at Balga.
$0.20 per pod, hope the expiry date is decent!
