Tested mine yesterday. I can't compare much as this is my first projector. From what I see the overall is ok except the noise is so loud, almost 3x louder than my old PC. doubt if it is for outdoor use? It works well with Windows and Android through Mirracast however not support Chromecast. No lag. The picture quality someone else @alcheron @InternetEggsplorer might be able to comment more

My bad, checked this comment slightly too late.

One way to describe this would be:
I would still grab it for less than $70, but will not for $100 or more.

It is definitely a steal for the price I paid. And it does its job. However there are few issues which are common to these budget single LCD projector, which is not unique to this product.

Problem I am facing with my units are

      1, 3 dead pixels(noticeable on black screen)

2, warped edge: left and right edge of projected screen looks like ) ( Ever so slightly
Just to be clear, it really is not that noticeable, I am just being extra extra EXTRA OCD about this.

3, Keystone feature works, but using it will immediately make top/lower half of your screen go out of focus slightly. Again its not something people may notice/ care much when they are watching content.

4, focus ring is quite rattly and tolerance is bad.

To be noted, these issues might be unique to my unit, and does not represent the majority. I might be just unlucky and got the unit with bad QC. Regardless its a good value unit for any price below 70.

To add on to Bii’s point, yes the noise is definitely there but my fan heater is actually louder than this projector, so I feel quite indifferent haha.

In terms of picture quality, its bright enough in a dark room and there seems to be no noticeable delay when wirelessly connected too, in terms of colour accuracy, I will say they are probably somewhere around 60-75% sRGB coverage. Colour isnt accurate but hey thats not something we expect sub-$100 projector to be anyways. It is good enough for me at least.

Overall I am happy that I did not missed out :))))

Yeh, for $35 I guess can't ask for too much. Not going to send back unless its totally unusable.

I'd just bought the Happrun H10 for $97 a couple of days before this was posted but it doesn't have WiFi (apart from the price difference). It's intended for the kids to use, maybe a bit of outdoor cinema when the good weather comes around again so this for $35 probably would have done the job, but guess you cant catch them all. I've got a VP6 already for the OzBargainer home theatre and I'm pretty happy with the quality of the Happrun for the money after getting over missing a better deal :D Haven't really found anything to complain about (same keystone problem though, no uniform focus if anything more than slight adjustment).

Fan noise is a common thing amongst all these projectors, though was surprised the H10 is actually fairly quiet, much quieter than my VP6.

If you can see the 3 pixels on a black screen then they'd be stuck pixels, not dead. It's a slim chance, but you might be able to unstick them by cycling colours for a while (plenty of vids on YT and utils for Windows), though tbh it's never worked for a few monitors I've tried it on.

What distance/screen size are you working with, and have you had a play with the settings? Can usually get a much better picture out of these things with a few tweaks.

One other thing I was wondering is the power draw if anyone could test it. If it actually had a 200W LED I would imagine it would be mega bright, though I'm guessing like the lumens and contrast ratio, the wattage is on Chinese scale too. (For comparison the Happrun draws 75W and the VP6 draws 130W. Not sure how much is attributed to the LED but the VP6 is definitely brighter than the Happrun)

Nice, did not knew about the possibility of a stuck pixel. Thanks for the info and I will definitely going to try it out.

I am using this projector about 2meter away from the screen, which gives me roughly 72inch of projected screen

There was not much of a software setting apart from those generic RGB value tweak, which I couldn’t be bothered to adjust with. I did placed my projector perfectly in line with the centre of the screen, which mitigated the keystone issue and made the whole screen “relatively” focused.

For the power draw, I do not have any meters to measure it unfortunately. All I can say is that it is definitely brighter by maybe 25-30%? than my previous projector which claimed to be 200ANSI lumen

Similar feedback as the other buyers. Decent for the deal price, but wouldn't pay much more for it.

Budget lens, so not the sharpest but good enough for the price.

Focus adjustment ain't great, but you can get there in the end.

Keystone adjustment sucks and throws top/bottom out of focus. Less of an issue for movies which are widescreen letterboxed.

Projection angle is basically directly in front so it'll probably have to be set up fairly high on a tripod to avoid keystone issues above.

Brightness: good enough in a dark room.

LCD has dust/dead/stuck pixel but mostly noticeable on a black image.

Fan noise is fairly loud, but not terrible for a projector. I might swap the fan if it's an easy to get part.

Speakers are tiny and tinny sounding.

Wifi streaming works ok, some frame skips from my iPad mini screen mirroring. I'll probably chuck a budget android tv stick on it though.

Overall, it's great for $35. Ok for $60. Probably use it for backyard/camp setups.

How does it compare to my BenQ w2700i that has 4k HDR? I mean…. It's 1/71 the price for 1/4 the resolution so hey ¯_(ツ)_/¯
