Any good, cheap new PC games with good campaign without a long learning curve (ex: early COD upto 6, Crysis, BF2BC2 etc) ?
cheap new games
Rarely new games are cheap. But if you are are looking for a more recent-ish FPS game with a campaign, Halo Infinite, Battlefield 5 are good areas to look at. Both also have a decent multiplayer.
If you want multiplayer that is a COD alternative, look at Xdefiant. It is in beta at the moment and it is the closest thing to COD. Try to apply to enter their next beta.
Thanks mate! I already got BF V etc. I don't play multiplayer (other than COD4 occasionally) and looks like most of the new games are about online aspects. I got Vanguard for $19 a while back, but only played for bit, kinda boring. Now I can't figure out which COD is new, so many remakes etc hehe.
What is this new Premium COD are you talking about? Are they releasing a new one already? I thought they are releasing it every 2 years not every year.
Google "Premium Call of Duty" and read all about it. By the way, they never officially confirmed a 2 year cycle. The sneaky thing is that ATVI gave hints which somewhat implied a 2 year cycle and all those COD influencers ran with the story. Then everyone bought into it and made a purchase thinking the current COD can last them 2 years (including myself). You can probably guess what happened after sales were through the roof, they want to rip us off all over again this year.
Yeah I already stopped buying COD at rrp my last full price purchase was Modern Warfare 3 on the PS3. All other games since then I get it second-hand or played on my nephew's account. COD is become a joke now.. It's not fun anymore..
I wouldn't really say DMZ is pay to win.
I can jump on Ashika Island and do one strong hold in like 2 minutes and get what everyone else gets. I've put a serious amount of hours into Dmz and love it.
I actually like the challenge of starting Ashika solo, with no weapons and trying to get out with a full backpack.
Thanks mate. Just checked the map list after reading your comment. I can't see any of my favourites from the original in the standard map list. I just assumed they'd all be there for some reason. Would've been very disapppointed.
How is campaign boring? It’s literally better then MW 2019 campaign.
Without giving out too much spoilers, the chapters feels like it is just doing certain elements for nostalgic reasons with no real depth. The oil rig mission for example (im not afraid to mention this one as the trailers had it), feels like a missed opportunity to add more, makes it more exciting, more sense of urgency. It is just very predictable, linear and I had the "that's it?" moment when it finished.
The only "new" element to this COD is crafting which kinda adds some level of complexity/challenge. You can play those missions the style you want. But this not new to gaming.
I remember so vividly in the original MW2, you were escaping from Estate, everyone was shooting you left right centre, the chopper was landing, you were about to go up the chopper and bang…General Shepard shoots you. My jaw dropped….what a twist… those were the good days when the script was amazing.
Wow still have to pay almost double on PC, really hope MS buy Activision.

yeah get stuffed. I'm not paying money for that
It is your money but highly recommend… DONT
Campaign is boring, multiplayer maps are very boring, DMZ is now pay to win, new premium COD is in the horizon which in principle Im not gonna support.
