Would you really pay this say against s22 ultra?

    • Compared them on gsm arena, seems a bit worse in most things, but has a higher MP in front cam and selfie cam

      • +5

Yeah but mega pickles aint nothing if your software is just not up to par.

        • True true, thats the only bonus I found though haha

          • @TerryJustTerry: I am interested in knowing how the battery life, thermal management, and overall stability compare with Pixel 7 Pro.
Use is all day on running GPS and various delivery platform routing software.

              @pokernut: Hmm not sure,

I checked on GSM arena for you though :)

              Motorola Edge 30 Ultra

              Google Pixel 7 Pro

            • @pokernut: My Motorola Edge 30 Ultra seems to be experiencing some problems with its GPS. It always takes around 2-3 minutes for the GPS to cold start, but once it does, there are no further issues for the rest of the day.

              • @tinselnoel: Thankyou for your feedback ..

Maybe its just the GPS constellation acquisition and where you live wrt access to the sky etc …when you turn on the phone.

I presume you are using the phones GPS location services continously all day (whilst working?).
If so how long does the a full battery last (no power optimisation mode turned on)?

No other issues…no need to cool down the phone to get around performance throttling. No issues with with notifications, bar code scanning, photo attachments etc with various apps.. Thats great.

    motoLOLa for $1200?

    • The old 3Watt Bag Phone was way more.

      StarTac also.

  • +4

The screen of this phone is very cheap and greenish. I did use this for a week before flipping it on eBay.

  • Cinema quality Dolby Atmos? How exactly does a phone provide cinema quality, Mukti directional sound?

    • +1

By connecting it to cinema speakers.

  • +4

Eh. Outdated, not on feature parity with the competition, no reputation for updates/support, still overpriced. I'd rate it at $500.

  • +1

Hmm. Pixel 7 pro for $1049 ish is better value. (Was as low as $900 @ JB Hi-Fi)
Bigger battery and Ip68 rating too.

200mp camera sounds good on paper but it's often the Ai image processing that affects the quality of photos.

The processor does appear to be faster than the Tensor G2.

Worth considering if it was priced the same but not ultra tier at $1200

I've got my eye on this but needs to drop a lot lower for me.

    • Need to be a LOT LOT lower, maybe under $500 then will be a good buy

    https://www.androidauthority.com/motorola-edge-30-ultra-came…

Yuck that looks atrocious from a $1200 phone

    • Terrible to be called a flagship phone with poor camera software support and no ip rating.

Now I'm having second thoughts on the edge 30 fusion for $529 at JB Hifi ($20 perks voucher) but at least the price of that is easier to swallow. Honestly there isn't a major difference between the Fusion and the Ultra so maybe best to go with the cheaper one.

  • Now this is down to $879. Clearing stock.

Still too much for what it is.
