Wouldn't be better to pay extra $10.25 locally for peace of mind local warranty? https://www.umart.com.au/product/corsair-32gb-2x16gb-cmk32gx…

That's $229 bruv. That more than $20 difference and Amazon is pretty good if you buy a lot of shit through them.

Had to return a CPU once, they refunded me before I even sent it out so I can buy another one and not be without a PC. Decent customer service.

Mines showing $218 locally pick up at Croydon. But at the end of the day, it’s up to every individual where they want to spend the money, I’m just stating the obvious.

        • I know dude, you did your bit.

    • Yeh mate, why ignore local shipping cost? ($11 for me) Takes the gloss off the story

      Amazon has insanely good support

  • That's some fast ram

    • Too fast for am5?

      • Probably; my 6200MHz memory refuses to work on my 7700X + ASUS B650E-E combo. Either won't post or if it does blue screens pretty quick. Had to downclock to 6000MHz but I could tighten up timings heaps (Hynix die) which gave better performance compared to stock XMP timings @6200MHz anyway.

  • Says its for XMP, does that mean you can't use it in AM5 EXPO setups? Or is that just software stuff and they ram will work fine?

RAM will work but it will run at JEDEC settings (4800MHz/ CL40).
Some AMD boards support XMP so you can pick the XMP profile. Just don't pick the 6400MHz one as that might be too much for Ryzen 7000 CPUs. Pick one of the slower frequency profiles. But there is no guarantee that the XMP timings will sit well with your Motherboard. The Expo timinigs should work way better with Ryzen.

So tl;dr; It will work but you may have to fiddle and set a bunch of numbers manually before you find the stable settings with reasonable performance.

So if you want headache free setup with good performance then maybe go with EXPO memory. If you don't mind doing some research (or finding the Buildzoid recommended numbers if it is an M-Die memory) then this memory is a good choice and you may be even able to squeeze the 6400MHz out of it once AMD tunes their BIOSes.

    • On my ASUS board it has both XMP and EXPO profiles, I'd guess other manufacturers would be the same?

      • not really, some newer kits offer both tho

        • Sorry I meant the motherboard offered both options of XMP and EXPO pending on what memory you have.

    • you'll have to manually overclock up to 6000mhz, shouldnt be a problem though with decent speed kits like these

  • There is a chance that this is already a Hynix A-Die.
Anyone that has them or will buy them can you give us the number strings printed on the RAM stick itself?

  • So this isn't on the QVL list for MSI Z790 tomahawk, will this work at 6400 on XMP with I5-13600k?

    • Is it not on the QVL list? Seems to be to me?

      https://pangoly.com/en/compatibility/msi-pro-z790-a-wifi/ram…

      • When I view pangoly memory compatibility for 13th gen, there is a toggle next to the "show QVL only" when I swipe it right(on) the Corsair part # disappears from the list.

        • Oh I didn't see the filter for CPU gen there
Thankfully my CMK64GX5M2B5600C40 that arrived today are compatible with 13th gen.

    • +1

I would be surprised if it doesn’t with 13600k and a good z790 mobo such as the tomahawk

  • Does this work with Intel 13900k?

    • It better…
