            @tajid: You cannot use the physical Cinema gift card online, because it is an EFTPOS gift card.

            However, if you go to this website and scroll down to the Pay safer and faster using your mobile wallet section, you will see a Go Digital button. Click/tap on that button and fill out that form to exchange your physical Cinema gift card for a digital Cinema gift card.

            The digital Cinema gift card operates on the Mastercard network, and can be used online at cinemas using a permitted Merchant Category Code (MCC) and choosing to accept prepaid Mastercard gift cards. You will need to download and install the TCN app onto your iOS or Android device in order to be able to access the prepaid gift card.

    Can confirm that good food card works at bars and restaurants much in the same way the restaurant choice cards work. The only MCC code that doesn't seem to work is fast food outlets.

      Were you using the physical or digital Good Food gift cards? This may matter, because:

      • The only Good Food gift cards I have ever seen at Target are the physical Good Food gift cards.

      • A Target store may still stock the older version of Good Food gift cards (which appear to be issued by a Blackhawk Network subsidiary and has nothing to do with TCN).

      • The TCN Restaurant physical and digital gift cards seem to behave differently. For example, I have seen reports in the past where digital TCN Restaurant gift cards could sometimes be redeemed at merchants using MCC 5814 (even though it is not supposed to be a permitted MCC), whereas I have only seen reports that the physical TCN Restaurant gift cards have consistently been declined at merchants using MCC 5814.

      • I cannot see a way to exchange a physical Good Food gift card for a digital Good Food gift card.

        I was using the digital version attached to GPay. Also, just gone into my transaction listing and noticed the pizza shop transaction for declined. Didn't realize at the time, nor did buddy serving me obviously. So maybe its just bars and restaurants.

        You are correct. I converted my TCN restaurant physical gift cards to Digital (Google Pay) the I used in McDonald’s successfully 2 days ago. It supposes to exclude fast food MCC.

    If the in store active gift card doesn’t have rebel sports on it does that mean it’s an old card and won’t work for rebel?

      The TCN ACTIVE gift cards you saw were old stock, because rebel was only added to the TCN gift card scheme around October 2022.

      Participating retailers are added (and less often, removed) from the TCN gift card every few weeks, and it says very clearly in clause 2 of the terms and conditions:

      This Card is an eftpos prepaid gift card that can be used for electronic transactions, to purchase goods and services at participating retailers listed on The Card Network website.

      rebel is listed on the TCN ACTIVE gift card webpage, therefore the terms and conditions say the TCN ACTIVE gift cards you saw at Target will work at rebel.
