    Reasonable price.

Issey Miyake Nuit Dissey Parfum 125ml also $59.99 which is a good price.

    • +3

super underrated and also pretty sexy. longevity isn't anything crazy though.

      • Agree. Just spray it again! 😅

        • +1

          thats the way!

    • How does it compare to issey miyake intense ?

      • +2

        It doesn't.

      • +1

Intense is not as good as the OG. Tries too hard and destroys the subtle tones.

      • Intense is cheaper and no good..
        I've had L'eau D'Issey Pour Homme for years and it's great (Also $69 / 100mL)

May give mont blanc explorer a go from ebay, $65 with voucher pretty good (still OOS).

(ps. Wouldn't call $99 same price from Amazon so maybe $69 from CW ok)

    • Thank you for this recommendation. Got this instead

    • Nice got one last week, longevity is a bit average , everything else good

      • Last long on your clothes. Add a spray

  • Thanks op

  • +2

    Welcome to ozbargain :-)

Montblanc Explorer Eau de Parfum for Men 100ml is often at this price according to camelcamelcamel (which you've linked, I see), so it isn't really a deal I'm afraid.

    • +2

indeed. it's been this price at cw for quite some time now.

  • Thanks OP bought one. stacked it with 20% CB on shopback amazon flash sale. Hopefully it tracks. Amazon has bad reputation when it comes to cashback.

    • +4

I'm not sure cashback will work. It's in the "Premium Beauty" category and not "Beauty". Doesn't harm doing it through SB, I did the same.

    • Cool

Good cologne, especially if youre after a clone of Creed Aventus. Creed Aventus is great but its definitely not worth 300-400$.

    • +6

mate, I wear Creed Aventus and Mont black explorer for few years now and I can 100% confirm Montblac explorer is not exactly a clone of Creed Aventus..it has little similarity but its unique on its own. Its just a people statement that Montblanc Explorer, Armaf Club De Nuit Intense are clone of Aventus.

      • +1

I’ve had both - my Aventus gets noticed a lot!

      • +1

I have Aventus and the Armaf "clone" and the latter is bloody awful, one of my most regretful fragrance purchases..

        • +2

Armaf is very smokey and the pineapple is kinda missing. If you can manage to find a pineapple frag and mix it with Armaf……you get a good perfume that is close to Aventus (the smokey batch).

        • -1

          The real aventus is mesmerising

        • +1

Funny you say that. I've got aventus I bought in 2013, so one of the godly batches apparently….

I find armad cdnim smells more similar to it that the newer batches of aventus do

  • Thanks op, picked it up on eBay, free shipping and an extra $5 off for eBay Plus so $64.99 (not sure if that $5 is available to all, it was there for me on the listing).

    • Sold out on eBay now.. for those that managed to get it, the Chemist Warehouse email says you are charged $79.98 which is false.

    • Back in stock on Ebay.

I heard CW sells fake perfumes

    • +4

      They don't.

    • +4

If they were, they would have been sued into oblivion by every perfume manufacturer

    • Lol

    • That would be a very dumb move, because it would also blacklist them from ever stocking other beauty, grooming and hygiene products too.

Play dirty with 1 brand, and you'll lose access to lot of major brands and products.
      Maintaining business is about trust.

Some of the brands L'oreal alone owns:
      - Azzaro
      - Diesel
      - Garnier
      - Giorgio Armani Beauty
      - Guy Laroche
      - Lancôme
      - L'Oréal Paris
      - Maison Margiela
      - Maybelline
      - MUGLER
      - Prada
      - Ralph Lauren Fragrances
      - Valentino Beauty
      - Viktor & Rolf
      - Yves Saint Laurent Beauté

You would not want to mess around with these major parent companies either, because they tend to own at least dozen other well-known brands:
      - LVMH
      - Revlon
      - Puig
      - Estee Lauder
      - Coty
      - Euroitalia SRL
      - Inter Parfums
      - Shiseido

    • I want 69 and I want this.

  • Amazon is not showing the same price. Maybe sold out or they pulled it from the Flash sale.

  • -7

To be frank, if the people of OzBargain are wearing it… it must be common as mud and not that desirable.

    • I splash some Brut to stand out.

  • real men only wear brut 33

    • Or VB

  • -4

    are chemist warehouse fragrances fake?

    • YES.. someone told me that so it must be true.

    • No.

Most fragrance brands are owned by much larger parent companies, that own other well known brands.

Knowingly selling a counterfeit $50 fragrance, and lose access to stocking $5 shampoos.

  • +2

Smells fantastic but found it had disappointing longevity throughout the day compared to Club De Nuit.

    • -1

      Where did you buy it?

I have two, one from Chemist Warehouse the other from Amazon. The Chemist Warehouse longevity is remarkable (all day and then some) whereas the Amazon one seems to be a fake due to a slightly chemically smell and poor longevity.

Also recommend applying to your clothes as it lasts a lot longer than on skin.

My go to is a spray behind each ear and a spray on the back of my neck on the shirt.

Next for dinners etc is a spray on top of each shoulder on the shirt

Finally for going out / clubbing a spray on the front of the chest on the shirt

      • +1

        I purchased both from CW

        • +1

All good, just thought I’d share my experience with buying from Amazon if anyone else is reading

          • @Nuggets: Production date, batch formulation and method of storage will have a greater effect quality discrepancies.

If it is coming directly from Amazon warehouses, then it is extremely unlikely to be counterfeit.

            • @mull: There were some discrepancies with the bottle as well and when I raised it with Amazon they offered me a refund. So not sure maybe it wasn’t counterfeit but Amazon support seemed to agree.

    • How many pumps? Good to do 3 or 4 and not worry about it being too overpowering.

No need to compare every single fragrance to this Aventus.. just accept for what it is, also it's 3-4x cheaper

  • I had my eye on the Mont Blanc legend for long time instead of this.

Pulled the trigger at Amazon with current 20% Cashback. The 200ml is never available at CW but $80 at Amazon after Cashback seems worth it.

Anyone who tried both , which do you prefer?

    • FYI the 20% cashback is not eligible on Amazon for the "Premium Beauty" category. See my comment above

The one you bought I think also is toilette if it's the same one I am looking at. It wouldn't last as long as the parfum. Something to consider I guess.

      • I think it’s in the beauty category. It says

        Sponsored
Beauty › Fragrances › Men › Eau de Toilette

        • +1

Unfortunately it's not. It's confusing, but needs to be in the correct category above, not the line below my circle

          • @Lucille Bluth: Hmm, that’s indeed confusing. I have to confirm with the rep regarding this as I may need to cancel,

            Thanks for warning

    • +1

I use both and they are very different scents. I find that Legend is a much lighter, sweeter scent. Usually wear that if I don't want my perfume to be too strong and in your face.

Whereas Explorer is more musky(?) and definitely projects better.

  • +1
    • Thanks mate, preferred 60ml to try out.

      • +1

Yeah that's a good idea.. they've fullfilled the stock on mine, ready to pick up. I'll test in store to make sure it doesn't stink , reviews good though

        • I ordered via ebay plus for free delivery as was not available in nearby stores, did not want to waste 70, 50 for 60ml made more sense here.

  • -1

For the smelly experts, are all parfum similar in terms of longevity. Just need something to cover my stink for the work day which is only 8 hours.

    Much thankly.

    • +1

nope, not all edps/parfums are created equally. longevity on this perfume is pretty good but i wouldn't blame you if you felt like reapplying during your lunch break or something :)

  • All the Aventus clones are inferior. If you are getting this because you want "something similar". Dont bother. Just save up and get the real thing.

    • Everyone goes on about Aventus, one day..

Grabbed the MB anyway for something different, a few others are running out.
Woody, spicy, some citrus is what I like (shame they don't make Gucci Envy anymore), but those Izzey and Versace Eau Fraiche Eau are good ones from Chemist Warehouse).

      • Issey Miyake L'eau d'issey is a classic. Nicer to my nose, and get way more comments on that one than Aventus.

        • true, maybe i should have got that again instead of M.B.

      • If you like spicy woody citrus try Chanel Allure Sport Extreme. This is in my opinion the best spicy woody citrus type scent on the market currently. Honestly, nostalgia is a good thing, but we should move on from 20 year old fragrances.

        • Yeah i've had some Chanel Allure homme sport for years, bit left - hopefully still good (don't think they expire really).

PS ffs, email from CW online order - Wait for restock or cancel order
(Mont Blanc Explorer Eau de Parfum 100ml)

If it's not that great for $70 could cancel i guess.

    • Its on my list. I have tried many different Aventus clones. IMO, the best one is by a UAE based company named Rasasi. Perfume name is RUMZ AL RASASI 9325, POUR LUI.

      • Rasasi looks interesting, never heard of this brand. But I can tell straight away it is inspired by Aventus as many notes are similar but the biggest difference is the amount of citrus Rasasi has. Aventus has a very obvious opening, you get the pineapple sourness and sweet apple. The moment you smell lemon or lime, you know straight away it is not Aventus. Rasasi is a good frangrance by itself but it wont fool Aventus owners.

  • CW are so frustrating with their ordering process. I feel like for a lot of things it is false advertising. Some things are only online, some only in store, then none of the stores around you have it anyway, and then stuff starts breaking in my cart as I try checking out. Getting more than one item is nigh impossible. I've given up and ordered from Amazon.
To add insult to injury one cannot change his email address on the CW account, I was advised to create a new account instead.

  • If I signup for an account on cheddar using $70 signup bonus, and buy this through the link there of chemist warehouse website (1% cashback) adding a cheap $1 item in addition do i get Mont Blanc Explorer Eau de Parfum 100ml for $1?

Anyone tried buying $70+ item on cheddar and getting 70 back?

  • Ummed and ahhhed about getting this online yesterday but decided against it since shipping was $9.99. It’s now click and collect or in-store only.

  • Cheers OP! Missed out on the ebay stock, but found local stock for C&C :)

    • Same, picked it up, don't think they had a tester but took it anyway based on reviews. Not what I'd usually go for but not bad for something different.

  • great fragrance. Very similar to Creed Aventus, but not very lasting. Still, nice.
