Did you mean 6.5x this or 4090?
Not enough slots mate. Although…we are progressing towards a 6.5-slot flagship. Case makers prepare!
The price and performance discrepancy between those 2 options is pretty crazy.
Would this be a good upgrade from my 3dfx voodoo?
Hodl. They are/were great cards.
no, this is pci-e, 3dfx is agp or PCI….better off waiting for the next generation bus.
Like asking this or intel integrated graphics
PCByte must be cleaning up the warehouse and finding old stock
6600, 6600XT, 6650XT, so confused and 6650XT not fasting than 6600XT
https://versus.com/en/amd-radeon-rx-6600-xt-vs-amd-radeon-rx…
While I think this chart is okay when comparing cards in its own family, I am unsure of it's accuracy between families.
For example, I've seen very few reviews of the 3090ti that have it slower than a rx 6950 xt as given here.
I'm sure they have a method but it may be different to everyone else…
I was confused by that too; what's happening is there are multiple charts, showing the whole story, and the first chart is showing only one type of benchmark (1080p raster, I think, which is where AMD is strong, but isn't what most people are buying a 4k-capable card for. You can see a different story looking at the 1440p and 4k charts on the same page).
@ItsMeAgro: Interesting to see if the RDNA cards with their extra vram at the tier end up crushing 30 series cards in the next year or 2.
This is very detailed benchmark, which has so many charts. If you read carefully, 3090ti is faster on 1440p and 4K, even more when RT on. 6950xt only wins in 1080P. I have watched a lot of benchmarks, 6950xt even beat 4090 in 1080p when 7700x cpu is used by different reviewers.

6650XT is faster than 6600XT.
The '50s are refreshed models and generally slightly faster than their predecessors
This or RX 6700 non XT which is around $439 but previously around $415
https://www.centrecom.com.au/sapphire-pulse-radeon-rx-6700-g…
i'd go with the 6700 for the bit more vram if it does fall close to this price.
Yeah you can't really justify the lower ram for a couple of dollars.
Better performance, full x16 bus and more VRAM
Also Sapphire is probably better than this Gigabyte
6700 is a much better choice
Nah this is a verified deal with 42 upvotes. $439 for 6700 is merely it's msrp
I am not sure 6650xt will be used 1440p ultra with RT ultra or higher, where it need a lot of vram. Most below settings should be fine. (Better GPU that play at better settings need more vram for sure)
But I generally agree more vram 6700 is a safer bet.
6700 for certain.
6650xt , despite the number in its name, is not 'halfway' in performance between a 6600xt and a 6700xt. It is a refreshed 6600xt with ever so slightly updated clocks.
Don't ever assume performance based on the model numbers by NVIDIA and AMD.
There is absolutely no consistency between products of the same family and even worse between generations
And it’s all on purpose :(
Look at the chart to see how much more going up each model gives you:
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html
Not sure if 6750 XT is an option too, $589 is quite a bit more: https://www.msy.com.au/product/asus-dual-rx-6750-xt-oc-12g-g…
"Gigabyte Radeon RX" so close, come on 7900xt(x) price drops,
looking for a cheap card just to play OW2 and GTA 5.. any recs?
I have 6800, play GTA 5 on 4K max setting 60 fps easily (minus most demanding AA). Depends what’s settings you’re playing and fps requirements.
im only one QHD so that and 60ps would be fine for me
660xt would be fine. 6700xt would be better
This or 4090?
