Not a 100% sure if this is a great deal, but i seem to remember the non Wifi version being sold for around the same price a month or two ago.

Yeah for the Ethernet one.
The WiFi one at OW is $134.Definitely the non streaming one. OW were the cheapest about until this special popped up. I know some picked up one for $107 at Harvey Norman last week. That was not a special but a price they were prepared to offer it for. This is a good price
No it's $135 at JB online. This deal is the WIFI version, Model WDBGXT0000NBK-AESN

Very good price for WIFI one, I bought mine one month ago with 30% in Goodgus, around $104. The other cheap option will be the amazon, where is around $87, but that is 110v.
I got mine in last deal, $91 including postage from Amazon, the Adapter is 110v-230v and I am using it now, by the way, the postage time from Amazon is extreamely fast! from the day I ordered to the day I received it, only took 3 days.
No, I bought mine from amazon and it's 110-v240v.
does this allow you to stream stuff off liveleak/vimeo.. anywhere?
(generally browse internet?)
edit:
found out the answer is no: http://community.wdc.com/t5/WD-TV-Live-Streaming-Discussions…You can't browse the internet but there are services which cover it pretty well

Click on the online services tab
including shipping would be a great deal!
Do OW do the price match?
Does this device have cinavia on the current firmware? Google seems to show that their new firmware on the live hub does have it. I need something without this otherwise it's only as good as my PS3 for what I use it for…
Oh look, another thread where people can confuse this device with the older model :P
If anyone is interested in my experiences with this device have a look at http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/75971
In summary: The device is great for casual users who don't mind minor issues and slowness.
It plays 99.5% of content, the remaining 0.5% needs to either be reencoded or in the case of mkv's you can use mkvmerge to fix the headers which is quick and easy.
Streaming is limited to the included apps which can be slow and buggy but fine if you are patient.
This is a great deal, but not as good as my WDTV 1tb hub for $116 yesterday from OW :)
With WiFi or without?
as long as you don't mind about cinavia you are laughing
Its a matter of personal opinion and intended use. I have no use for a internal hard drive when the streaming has wifi. I can just stream movies from pc, NAS/unraid server etc.
same.
Thanks to the OP for posting this.
I have the WDTV live with a wireless bridge but all the wires get so tiresome! So I bought this and using the wireless bridge elsewhere.
I patiently await next years version with 5ghz wireless :P
Do any of the WD Lives have volume controls on the remote?
(can't live without it due to no remote for my power amp)I'd invest in one of these if I were you.
http://www.logitechshop.com.au/logitech-harmony-650-remote.h…
As well as the WD…I have a Harmony 600
- but there's no option I can see maps to anything approaching volume on a WD Live TVI tried cracking it first and running with the volume fudge that way
- found that firmware buggy (would hang accessing NW shares) and gave upIf only my amp had a remote (but then it wouldn't be the same Cambridge Audio classic)
hmm, strange. I can control the volume of my WD from the android app (In case you're interested - http://goo.gl/fUbZ3), so I figured you could make it an option on the Harmony.
I control my TV volume, so don't really have a need for it, but I would have assumed that it would work.
If you have an iPhone you can download the wdtv app to control volume levels. The remote that comes with the box doesn't support volume levels however.
The iPhone app has the added advantage that you can sit elsewhere in/outside the house and skip tracks (handy for music or spotify)
(iPhone needs to be on same wifi network)
I have the original WDTV Live and running B-Rad firmware it uses the up/down keys for volume control. I use it every day.
Interested but wondered whether these are on discount as they are about to be superseded by a new generation of similar but Android based devices. Might it be worth waiting?
Sold out already. Might have to pop by Harvey Norman and work my bargain magic with them to see if I can score on for the same price.
BTW…for those that are wanting to use Hulu or Netflix check out this website. I've config'ed my router with the DNS settings and it works brilliantly.
$12.05 for postage is a killer
Score!
Showed the website to OW and they matched the price + shipping less 5%. Total came to $103.41. More than happy with that.
Exactly the same here. Been waiting for one of the older (non live hub) models without cinavia.
Wish I'd thought to buy an HDMI cable in advance. Sigh, Monday from ebay..
Been reading the Whirlpool forums and the WDBGXT0000NBK-AESN won't let you do Netflix and Hulu no matter what you do. It's got to be the WDBHG70000NBK-HESN to get these features (with a bit of DNS hacking that is).
Happy to say tho I got it for $89 with $10 shipping. Just need to get a US to AU adapter.
Blast… I got the non-WiFi one like 2 months ago for $90.
Oh well, I prefer just sticking my external HDD into the WDTV. Less lag.
UPDATE:
WOW!! I ordered the WDBHG70000NBK-HESN on Friday from Amazon in Sydney and it was on my desk on Monday morning!!!! I'm seriously impressed!
Bought an adapter from OW and was able to the OEM plug for Oz from Singapore.
I'm pretty sure I saw these for $97 at JB a day ago, not on special
