JBL Quantum Duo Gaming Speakers $149 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi

30

I thought that this was a reasonable deal. States to be at $100 off on sale but i don't know when the sale ends. The current cheapest other price for this set of gaming speakers according to Staticice is from Officeworks for $198. I bought a set of these from the online store myself for a PC rig but am awaiting delivery since there was no stock at my local store. But it looks to be an ok set of gaming speakers.

  • I'd go with a set of edifier bluetooth bookshelf instead, those things are banging

Does it have RGB lighting like these do?.

      • +3

no, but rgb lighting can be added to anything if you really want to!
the selling point of the edifiers is that they sound really good - which is usually the main point of speakers, right?

Surround sound with 2.0? How do I hear someone behind me? Must be magic pixies behind me whispering there's someone behind me

      • I think it's different when you have headphones vs two speakers in front.

I would suppose you can do some trickery with good software but interested to know how JBL hope to achieve that with inconsistent positioning of desktop speakers

Relying on sound bouncing off the wall behind you?
