Really synthetic?
Or synthetically real?
I have shoes with leather uppers as well as shoes with synthetic leather uppers.
Both of them are real.
PSA : to all the first time DIY oil change hacks out there…
tl:dr - don't put it in your Camry or Corolla.
You can use diesel oil in a petrol engine, provided the diesel oil meets the appropriate specifications and viscosity requirements of your engine.
For example, if your petrol engine calls for a motor oil that meets the API SN specification, you can safely use a diesel oil of the correct viscosity if it meets that API SN spec.
That is true but this product only shows C2 as the spec (from the product pictures anyway)
But it's okay to put in my Rav4?
Only the hybrid model with roof racks and a kayak affixed to said roof racks.
yes it's fine.
The only issue with this for a petrol engine is if it has a PPF. Also this is a low HTHS oil, but it will save fuel over a C3 or C4 rated oil.
Which matters more to you; some extra longevity or money in your pocket with fuel savings?
I guess whichever saves the most money in the long run depends on how many more km my Rav4 has left, probably an equation too complex to figure out.
Thanks, the 5-30 is $91.69 which will suit a lot of vehicles as well.pull the trigger on it
I'm guessing 5w30 is suitable for Hondas that say they recommend 0w20, right?
Yep thats completely fine.
No, because the Hondas are a petrol engine. This oil has been specifically formulated for the Ford/Jag diesel crapboxes. I'd run it during winter if the temperature is consistently below 15c but those V6 diesel Fords really need a 5w-40 during our summer temperatures.
With the DPF burns the oil gets quite diluted and comes out with the viscosity of water.
One bit of weirdness is that the pack says C2 but Nulon's website spec says C5.
Add your car (by rego) to SuperCheap auto website’s garage. It shows if the oil is suitable.
Remember when we used to have like 5L $20 engine oils in Ozbargain?
MakeEngineOilCheaperAgain
I remember when you could get 20L for $32
Autobarn had 5L for less than $20 last month
Best oil for a rotary?
13B?
Best? Sell the vehicle to someone else and let them figure out which oil is best.
Anything for VW?
Need a C3 for my 10 year old diesel Sportage. Still, tempting at that price, although possibly risky to my DPF…
You can pick up the Penrite C3 for about this price every so often when it goes on special 👌

This may be suitable if you aren't in a rush, DPF compatible and cheaper and still fully synthetic.
Thanks for the tip, these guys charge a fortune to ship to my area in WA unfortunately so will keep looking 👍
C3 & C4 comes up all the time.
Bought this from spares box eBay for 23c cheaper last year so this is a very good price
C4 is also down from $135 to $95

I don't think it's a proper synthetic oil like a group IV PAO. Most likely just a hydrocracked group 3.
Very good price for a real full synthetic 0W oil
I very much doubt it. Actual Group IV full synthetic oils are very expensive to produce and are therefore marketed as such to the high heavens.
There are a lot of fancy adjectives in the marketing blurb but absolutely no mention of Group IV PAO composition, so it'll just be another standard hydrocracked Group III.
Edit: beaten by JIMB0 above.
party is over ☹️
went to buy one but the price is 120 something now
“Real” and “synthetic”in the same sentence.
