    Well that was fast

bought one for around $130, but ended up returning because either the right or left corner was always out of focus. And, it didn't support wireless connection to your phone. However, the resolution, fan noise, and setting UI were fine. For this price, it's still a great value.

I feel that, I've been there and also returned mine. Different model, same crap.

So one corner always out of focus, but still a great value? Yeah, like a car without one wheel - can't serve the main purpose, but good for kids to play with or for an art installation.

      • a car without one wheel … good for kids to play with or for an art installation.

        What a joy ride

    • Got one for the same price, still haven't unboxed it to test it, but i'll be weary with that

        i'll be weary with that

        You will!

  • I got this for deal price a few days ago, just set up this morning, I'm amazed at how good it is for less than $100, movie nights at home will be much more of event, after 2-3 will be more cost effective than trips to the cinema for family of 4.

I have a proper dedicated home theatre and have bought several projectors in the past. I wouldn't recommend any of these cheap projectors from Amazon unless its just like a little toy to satisfy the kids with occasional movie nights for them.

The biggest problem is the brightness. They all advertise and thousands of lumens, but what they refer to is lux, simply the light output not the brightness projected. With low brightness, it is rather tiring watching movies, and for dark scenes you can't make anything out of it.

2nd problem is the color saturation is really poor. Plus the poor contrast, the picture doesn't look natural, and all films look like as if it's pirated.

Last but not the least, is that the lens is made of poor quality plastic rather then proper glass, thats why you can never get the entire picture focused.

So IMHO, this is more like a toy for kids to play with, any one who is half serious about a home theatre, should stick with the major brands. Look at ANSI lumen, not any other lumen. For a watchable picture, you need a minimum of 1500 ANSI lumen.
