  • Any washing machine recommendations?

    • +1

They're all equally as bad these days.
It's sad the most reviewed and highest rated washing machine is a Haier at $600!

However, for a max $1400 appliance we can't expect very much. They're very much a disposable white good these days.

We are looking at the LG WV10-1412B however no legit reviews exist. Apparently there is no real world difference between 10kg and 12kg.

Bosch/AEG also isn't made very well, years ago they were. We had problems with our $2000 Miele dryer and they stung us $350 call out fee to fix 3 months out of warranty. So not sure how they get a good name. There is no way I'd be paying $2000+ for a Miele again. Paying $2800 for a German made bosch is also stupid. People got 9 years out of the old LG washing machines. Ours has lasted since 2015 ($560). However covid and part increases make manufactures now reduce quality or do crazy price increases or both.

      • Concur with the "Buying German Made Bosch" models. You're betting that the extra cost will directly result in better Quality Assurance… I'd rather pocket the savings and be concious that all machines will eventually break in a way not worth fixing.

    • Just look for any washing machine that you like the look of/is conducive to your budget which has the best warranty.

We ended up buying a Chiq 8kg Front Loader for around $550 this time last year and came with a 5 year warranty, can't remember exactly where we bought it from but I could find out if you'd like. Have absolutely no issues with the appliance and for $550 it works outstandingly well.

  • Listed as sold out (10 mins since posting)

    • Strange, showing in stock for me (Melbourne postcode)

    • It doesn't ship to WA.

      • That must be why, would be good if Kogan showed it didn't ship rather than just saying sold out.

    • series8 sold out
      LOL

    • Weird as it still shows in stock for me too

  • Title should be + Delivery?

  • $66 delivery for me

  • This is a good product, had one for 18 months.

Strongly recommend you take up the extended warranty though - ours developed a noisy spin, no issues with replacing straight away. Not built to last for 20 years….
