Grabbed one to replace my broken logitech (left click becomes double click automatically….)

    • Which model ?

(left click becomes double click automatically….)

That would save a lot of time.

I might get one of those. Which model is it?

      • jv, may I ask why you put words in bold, seemingly at random?

        • +4

          They aren't random.

        • She's from Moe. It makes sense

    • Try claim warranty, they sent me one after asking me to do a thousand things

  • Got one for night time use. Thanks.

    • Mine arrived. Came with an AA battery.

Works fine so far, silent buttons as expected. Scroll wheel feels fine. Casing is definitely on the cheap side- sharp corners that are slightly uncomfortable to touch, cheap feeling plastic. No on-the-fly DPI adjustment.

But at ten bucks, who's complaining? Good spare mouse to have kicking around.

  • Nice, thanks

I picked this up for $20 last year for use at work on my work PC and Surface. I generally prefer larger mice, however at the price I paid it's a seriously solid wireless mouse. At $10 I'm prepared to double down on the recommendation.

Do note however that the left and right click are completely silent. This might be a barrier some can't look past.

Might actually buy another to keep at the home.

      I have a Logitech silent-click mouse too,
and I can attest that the 'silence' is great!

It took a bit of getting used to, but I dont mind it at all!

  • I had gotten these as part of a rapoo keyboard and mouse set for $9 at Centre com back a few years ago.

The battery something inside the mouse broke one day or became very finnicky so I stopped using it :(

I would love to get another but not for $20 hehe

  • Another Spare Cheap Mouse :) I think im growing a collection lol

  • Showing $19.99 for all colours now.

They said to use the coupon on checkout

I would have bought a few of these one if they had back and forward buttons on your thumb.

  • Thanks got one for the kids Chromebook.

  • Thanks OP. Just what I needed.

  • I haven't used a Bluetooth mouse before, what's latency like compared to 2.4GHz? I'd like to not have to use a dongle anymore

    • +1

I'm using an MX Anywhere and there is no noticeable latency compare to my wired mouse.

      • Thanks jv

There's a bit more luck of the draw with BT. My MX Anywhere works like poo with my laptop over Bluetooth, works great with the wireless dongle. (Drivers updated, very bog standard laptop).

        • My MX Anywhere works like poo with my laptop over Bluetooth

I'm using it on a HP Elitebook now and it is flawless.
          It's an MX Anywhere 2.

          • @jv: Mines an Anywhere 2, with a 2019 Thinkpad. Totally unusable with Bluetooth. Doesn't bother me though as I just keep the low profile Unifying Receiver plugged in to one of the ports. Stops me from losing the damn dongle, too.

I do have a second Anywhere 2 which I've not bothered to test for BT connectivity, simply because I prefer dongles.

            • @rumblytangara:

2019 Thinkpad. Totally unusable with Bluetooth.

              probably the Thinkpad then…

              • @jv: Could be, but it's probably the most bog-standard business machine (BT hardware and driver) in existence. It's pretty much one of the three machine lines that big corporates standardise on.

I really should try with the other MX Anywhere sometime, but just dislike Bluetooth as a protocol anyway, so usually disable it on my devices.

or try the same MX Anywhere on a different computer.

either way, you will find your answer…

                  • @jv: I guess that if I really cared, I could.

But: my initial post was in the context of whether BT works without an lag/latency on laptops, and my answer was a datapoint to say "on this incredibly bog standard, up to date laptop, it works terribly" so I don't know why this seems to be kicking off some kind of internet pissing competition about troubleshooting techniques (for a protocol which I have no use for anyway.)

                    • @rumblytangara:

On my bog standard HP, up to date laptop, it works fine…

                      • @jv: Good for you, I guess.

That clearly means that bluetooth is a 100% infallible protocol across every machine and driver instance in existence. There are no latency issues, there are never driver conflicts, it is clearly as good as, if not better than, wired.

                        There, happy?

Or one of the devices has faulty hardware/driver….

      • Imposter! jv always bolds at least one word.

        • Nope…

    • fine for general productivity but not for gaming, but again depends on your sensitivity to it.

wireless is usually 10ms and bluetooth 30 to 50ms. I personally notice it a lot if I switch from wireless to bluetooth on my Razer orochi v2.

      • I'm not into gaming, so that's good to hear

    Thanks OP, bought one.

FYI for others - the K800 keyboard also looks to be 50% off from the same seller

edit: I need to say this - Rapoo is a such a terrible name for a brand that I was reluctant to even buy the mouse. It sounds like a portmanteau of two horrible things

  • This deal came at the right time! Got one for the Mrs and me

  • +2

Can't apply the coupon anymore, looks to be finished

  • Just received mine…It's more akin to a kids toy than a proper mouse. Why is it so small lol.
