What is the solar panel wattage and what is the battery watt hours?

  • +15

Got this a few months back. A bunch of the features (eg activity zones) are buried behind premium monthly subscription. I've not bothered subscribing. Otherwise quite a good camera. Recorded a couple of grubs scouting our street at 3am then returning that arvo for brazen daytime break-in. Police got em within hours and very happy with footage.

Haven't yet seen the battery dip below 90%( in sunny Brisbane).

    • Does this integrate with Google Home/Assistant? TIA.

      • +1

99% sure it doesn't. I've got about 30 devices setup with google home but I've not bothered trying to integrate this. Just had a quick check in app/home and can't see an option to add it.

    • Did the police release them the same day they caught them?

      • +1

Still in custody last I heard.

    • Police got em within hours

      Would hope within minutes

Cops arrived within a couple of mins. Think they disengaged because of dangerous driving. Ended up ramming a police car.

  • So I've got this guy:

I wonder if the same software will operate this camera? of if they run a different firmware for each 'brand'

    • Uses Vicohome app.

      • yeah mine uses cloud edge…. but i wonder if the camera will connect to either one. Might download Vicohome later and see if my camera can connect to it.

  • Wish i didn't hesitate and just gave it a shot. All coupons claimed now.

Looking to set up my first Camera's and want to start with Wireless to get a feel for having security cameras and mounting them etc.

  • Hi OP
Can’t see 40$ coupon. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance

    • They've all been claimed.

      • Make sense. Thank you

  • Wondering about this as a stand in surf-cam for a friend's beach house. Reckon it could survive being plonked on a roof near the ocean?

    • It would depend how close the house is to the beach. IP65 is suitable against dust, dirt and water jets from basically any direction but doesn't really take into account constant heavy rain fall or salt water spray. I wouldn't be worried about the heavy rain fall, and i'd imagine the house isn't close enough to be affected by salt water spray.

Taking those factors into consideration IP65 is suitable, but going 66/67 would be ideal.
