Saw this pop up on a FB ad and thought someone might find it a good deal. Still too expensive for me though. The latest Dyson Gen5Detect Complete plus add on the The Pure Hot+Cool Purifying Fan Heater valued at $599 for $99 bringing the total to $1698
on the downside you see how much dust is on the floor with it's lazors, sometimes better left unknown
All portable vacuums by dyson are overpriced. The barrel ball ones Have better suction power and cost half the price.
You are paying more for just portable.
Paying for convenience. I find now that I have the smaller vacuum I do more spot vacuuming than before and the barrel one now sits in the cupboard, because I do the vacuuming in stages throughout the week.
Mind you I paid $400 for my one… can't justify the price of these new ones.
Sell me the one sitting in the cupboard 🙂
@shegeloaf: LOL don't think anyone would want it… it is real vintage Dyson from memory its a DC08 from 2006.
There is an aftermarket accessory you can buy for few dollars to have the same effect of locking the trigger down for v10,v11 etc. I have 1 for V11 however they won't work on my other Outsize model.
Pretty sure these were $1349 without the fan last month.
I stupidly bought one of the fans (an earlier model) and it's worth maybe $100.
We bought a dyson fan for the bedroom in summer as it was supposed to be quieter, but it's the same as any fan. Cannot recommend for the price.
Every single review of the Dyson fans I’ve ever read/watched says that it’s louder than a normal pedestal fan. What made you think it’s quieter?

Went to Dyson shop yesterday on Moore Park as I was looking for an upgrade from my V6, it is quite heavy compare to V6 but I was told I don't need the corded one since this is powerful enough on its own.
The bundle deal with the fan is nice since I am looking for that as well.
I was told since I own the old V6 I can get a 25% off RRP for all models except the gen5
The power of the recent models could be better than a cord one but I still use the corded ball vacuum for my car, sofa, tables.. as the soft hose on the corded one is much easier to clean the seats and carpets and gaps between seats, I cannot use the cordless ones even on highest setting (and only last 6 mins).
Just realised you can go cashreward for a 5% rebate so its cheaper to buy online than in store
Actually, Dyson has a loyalty discount 20% off any product (RRP) with a few exceptions as long you can prove you own 1 Dyson item regardless if it is for hair or floor.

I have this vacuum. It's not particularly special compared to the lower models. Kind of a splurg purchase. The main difference I consider to be an upside is that you don't have to hold a trigger down 🤷♂️.
