      One of these is probably a better bet to get a true hepa replacement for cheaper than oem. Pureberg have a pretty good rep on Amazon and I've seen air quality tests with them doing just as well or outperforming oem filters: https://www.amazon.com.au/PUREBURG-Replacement-Compatible-Pl…

        Tests from where? It's pretty easy to fake most of that. You also need trusted independent reviews from a shelf product from an unknown buyer to the seller.

        Tests on a selected sample from a company with no reputation is next to useless.

        A quick google shows there's a fair bit of uncertainty around the authenticity of the pureberg tests.

        I find it funny that people want air purifiers but cheap out on the single part of it that actually does anything. These units are just elaborate fans, yes they need to have a decent design for circulation but the filters are everything.

        It sucks replacing them and it'd be great to have a truely trusted 3rd party seller but they always have some air of doubt, if they didn't you'd probably find the price stops being so cheap.

    Isn't that a good problem to have?? That our air quality is mostly good. .. I once used some bug spray and it turned red in under 30 secs. You can keep one around to use next bushfire season, that was the primary reason I bought one a while back
