  • Perfect tv to buy for someone you hate

    • genuine question, is it that bad? I am looking for small (and cheap) TV for bedroom..

      • +1

its hit and miss with all things kogan

in a past life when i was doing callouts for modem/internet/smart tv setups, i started to configure this customers "brand new" tv that turned out to have a saved persons details on there (that was not them)

      • For just $30 more, you can get the 4K 43" TV from Kogan.. but with all these TV, they have poor audio quality, probably get a soundbar with it as well if you prefer decent audio.

        • I have a 43" "smart" Kogan 4k tv. Was a bargain but is pretty useless.
Tv guide can only show the program for the current channel. Each channel change takes 3 seconds. It's slow and after any power disruption it starts to home menu where tv is in like a picture in picture window. So our fire tv can't make it full screen. Have to dig up the crappy remote every time before we can use it again.
Auto dimming is terrible. I bought it as a monitor but it changes the brightness depending what's on screen, so scrolling pdfs is horrendous.

Kogan are TVs for a spare room. Not somewhere you wanna subject yourself to daily.

@Prozac3350: My 42” kogan tv is actually alright. Speakers and display is actually not too bad. Better than Aldi tvs

      • i’ve got this TV (or maybe the series before) and it’s great for the price honestly.

      • In laws have one. It's fine.

    • It will do the job.

My old 39.5 inch full HD Dick Smith's TV bought maybe 5 years ago is still going strong.

Add a Chromecast and speakers and honestly I find it hard to upgrade. Picture quality is better than my old Samsung plasma.

I haven't been spoiled using OLED though, besides my vita and Switch.

  • Is it truly that terrible?

Intending to purchase 3 for digital signage at my café. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has already made the purchase to share their experience.
