  • Been trying to use them for Amazon this week if the usual suspects had 0% for the category I was interested in. Found them to be a little bit more confusing regarding exclusions as they aren't explicited stated. I'll try to grab some stuff tomorrow for sure.

Paying in Gift Card fine ?

    • +17

      Hi there,

Yes, purchases paid using a gift card will be eligible for cashback

      • If I buy a kids smart watch will that track as a watch purchase, or will it be in one of the ineligible categories?

I have some gift card balance on my amazon account. If I use that for the purchase will it still qualify for cashback or will it be rejected due to the use of “amazon credit”? What do you define as amazon credit? I don’t have prime but my order would be eligible for free delivery. In the checkout amazon adds the delivery fee but then applies the same amount as credit if the purchase exceeds $39

      • Doesnt appear to have tracked for me. Only cash amount minus the gift card amount. Do i need to create ticket?

  • +1

    What is topcashback???

    • +1

A UK cashback company that been around for ages, seems like they opening an AUS version

    • I've used them a few times so far and everything has tracked I think. Obviously still pending but so far so good.

      • +1

I signed up during their 50% Chemist Warehouse cashback but don't track, opened a case and but heard nothing so far…

        • I did that one and the big eBay one and both tracked for me.

          • @ozbs25: normally how much time does it take until you know that it has been tracked?
With CashRewards it is usually like instantly.
I made my first Amazon order with TopCashback, it's already an hour now, and there's no hint of it being tracked.
            Thanks

            • @Averell: I haven't gotten any tracking info for a purchase I made just after midnight last night. It did track my last click before purchase though. I'll give it a while longer before I worry about anything.

        • Hi @MkVIGTI sorry to hear that your Chemist Warehouse cashback didn't track. Thank you for submitting in a claim. Our team have submitted claims to the retailer's network for review and once we hear back, we'll be sure to keep you posted.

  • What if we have $10 credit for $39 spent on amazon ? Will using that qualify the cashback ?

    • +2

      Hi there,

Unfortunately cashback is ineligible on purchases when using Amazon credit.

      • +1

Is it the same if we use a gift card balance?

  • Is Nintendo Switch game considered as "Software"?

    • +1

This is why I find TopCashback a bit trickier. They don't explicitly state that video games is 0%. I imagine that's where the Switch game would fit.

      • +4

        Hey @KangarooOz and @ozbs25

Unfortunately the Nintendo Switch Game will fall under the 'Video Games' category and that category is currently ineligible for cashback.

The T&Cs on their merchant page should be updated shortly to reflect this so that's it's a bit clearer too.

  • +1

I hope Rakuten would launch in Australia soon as I like to accumulate Amex MR points rather than cashback.

    • Didn't Rakuten make a feeble attempt years ago? They are having a second go?

  • +1

TopCashback dropping some nice bonuses lately.

If you haven't joined them yet, don't forget to use a referral link above.

  • Thanks skido, and thanks to TopCashback rep for this deal! I was so excited for the launch and it has finally arrived with a decent bonus 🤝🏽

  • I’m reading ‘Sports & Outdoors’ in the OP but only ‘Outdoors’ in the link. What gives?

    • +1

      Hey @haru

Apologies for it not being clear initially. We've now updated it to be 'Sports & Outdoors' on the site too.

  • Is this eligible? "BANZ Earmuffs & Sunglasses"

    • Hi @ozmaxz
It looks like that item falls under the Baby category which is unfortunately not eligible for cashback.

  • +1

    What to buy around $30

    • +4

I'll probably buy some physical books. Have been waiting for a deal to make the price a bit more bearable. Free delivery makes a big difference over other bookstores too.

  • Are beauty and makeup excluded?

    • Hi @angelique008, yes unfortunately beauty and makeup is excluded from this deal

  • +1

Hi rep, do you have any plans on adding a browser add on?
If so it would be great if it could also detect the category and show the cashback before we purchase.

    • +3

      Hi @ChillBro
Yes I agree! We're currently working on this so please stay tuned! :)

  • Thank you, OP.

  • +3

There's several items that show different categories in the top left of the page, such as SSDs and Micro SD cards showing as Electronics but if you click through to them again from your browsing history page you'll see the category is actually Computers & Accessories which is 0% cashback. So just be wary of that. I've been stung by this myself before with CR but fortunately TA helped me out.

    • Would like to have confirmation as well if microSD card is eligible or not.

  • +1

You are eligible for a Cashback Bonus for a maximum of 1 individual purchase.

Multiple items adding up to a single order of $30, it's not clear if this counts?

    • +1

It does say this on the activation page though:

Activate below and earn an extra $10 bonus on 1 transaction when you spend $30 or more on an eligible cashback category on Amazon between 00:00 and 23:59 AEST on 2nd April, 2023.

So surely multiple items adding up to $30 is fine as long as they're all in eligible categories.

      • +2

        Hi @MiscOzB
Yep exactly. The 1 transaction refers to just having 1 basket, but you can add mutiple eligible categories/products into your basket and you’ll be eligible for cashback.

  • +1

Bought 5 physical books for just over $30, two of this one, one for my an uncle in law’s birthday,on a huge reduction at the moment:

Cheers skido good to see ya back around here.

  • I only buy toilet paper/paper towels/toys on amazon :/

  • -2

So for new best they get is $10 that too only after working through hoops of eligible amazon category.

Meh, until you bring like an actual decent signup deal for the new signup customers I am gonna stick to SB and CR combo. The main two players.

    • They have 100% now 50% cashback for first purchase, not enough? Referral was $30 too.

      • person referring is getting $30 not person signing up. (who gets nothing from sign with that code)
even @ 100% is not enough if its capped @$10 for new customers.

CR/SB standard is $30 back for $30 spend (new customers)
Cheddar Standard is $70 back with $70 spend (new customers)

        • -1

Enter your referral code in the system and you may get $30 too.

$10 back $30 is good for this promo, got something, and also NordVPN as it didn't look like CR is having another promo anytime soon (been over a month since the last one).

Shopback don't have offers like they used to.. nothing for Myer for a while and still not 20-25%

Why don't you sign up as a new customer for them all again then. Some people worried about every $1 in cashbacks, bit of effort all the time and the general public wouldn't bother with it all all, so it's not bad getting something back.

        • +3

@USER DC You were lucky to get those generous sign-up bonuses. When I signed up a few months ago, I received $20 from Cashrewards, $10 from ShopBack and $25 from Cheddar.

          • @trixieb: also the $10 you got from SB was not locked to a specific purchase, just standard signup bonus which you could stack with any other deals.

Here TopCashback is offering New users $10 to spend $30+ on amazon items with eligible categories.

            • @USER DC: oh well no point whinging about it..
Free 10$ isn't enough for some people.

    • +1

$10 is not for signing up and it is from the deal. So, no $ for new signing up from them

Clearly they reward the referrers and not the referees

      • Sounds ok, will get a few random referrals from here once more people sign up.

  • Shame I just bought something on Amazon yesterday.
Was just under $30 anyway (personal care, diffusers).
May have to find something else.

    • Cancel and reorder?

      • Yeah could but used a voucher as well, bit bit much effort.
Plus waste of time and delivery fees / fuel returning stuff.

Just ordered something else (polo shirt) so hopefully that's 7% +$10 cashback.

        • No worries I meant if item hasn't yet been shipped or entered advanced shipping stage, you can still cancel an order on Amazon

          • @Lucille Bluth: cheers thought of that, but it's coming today so wont bother.
always something else to get if you looking ha

  • I still haven't got previous bonus $10 and yet to hear back on missing cashback for eBay…

    • +1

Hi @lostinsydney sorry to hear your eBay cashback didn't track. Please can you DM me the email address you've signed up with so that I can look into this for you please?

  • I had to cancel an order before it shipped and then ordered again to change delivery details. Will I loose the bonus in this case, or will I still fall under the 1 transaction limit as only 1 gets tracked?

    • Hi @akaakmdm As long as you've made at least 1 eligible transaction, you should still be awarded the bonus. If for some reason it doesn't, please feel free to send me a DM and I can take a look into it for you.

  • The exclusions are too confusing.
Camelx3 says this item is "Product Group: Camera, Category: Electronics"
TCB says category Electronics eligible, but then Camera is ineligible
    So which is it??

    • +1

      Hi @kaimyu

Apologies for the confusion. I can confirm all Electronics apart from Cameras and Computers, are eligible for cashback.

  • Hopefully a shirt is apparel.
Nothing under earnings yet, probably takes a few hours.

  • What's this 'Personal Care Appliances' category? Is it the same as 'Health, Household and Personal Care'?

    • Sounds like Household & Personal Care to me.. surely it's the same thing

    • Hi @sub102 Personal Care Appliances refers to Electronic Personal Care items so for example Electric Toothbrushes or electric trimmers.

      Hope that clarifies things.

      • There's no category in amazon called 'Electronic Personal Care'. Electric toothbrushes come under 'Health, Household and Personal Care' as seen here for example so how do you officially categorize items bought? Surely you can't be looking at each and go oh that must be a personal care appliance

        • +1

Must be what TopCash is calling 'Health, Household and Personal Care', the categories should be named exaclty the same to save confusion.

You can check the categor on most stuff in 'Additional Information' for the item.
eg. I got an oil diffuser (not on this deal):

181 in Health, Household & Personal Care (See Top 100 in Health, Household & Personal Care)
          2 in Aromatherapy Diffusers

          • +2

@G-rig: Hey @sub102 I apprecaite the confusion this has caused but this is how Amazon communicated the categories to us. I'll try and get some clarification from their team on this.

            • @TopCashback AU Rep: Thanks for looking into it! Please let us know asap

            • @TopCashback AU Rep: Do you have any updates on this?

              • +1

@Neodgle: Hey @Neodgle unfortunately not yet. As its the weekend, replies tend to take a little longer.
They did previously communicate that appliances would be eligible for cashback so items such as electric toothbrushes and trimmers should be eligible for cashback.

  • +1

I also am keen to know how they determine "Personal Care Appliances", which seems to be a subcategory under Health, Household and Personal Care. Its would seem that by default it won't be eligible even though it says 6%

For example is an electric toothbrush "Personal Care Appliance" and gets 6% or is it not eligible given the Amazon website says it's in the category "Heath, Household and Personal Care"

    All very confusing

    OP could you clarify ?

    • +1

      Hi @hagglerforever
Yes, Personal Care Appliances refers to items like an Electric ToothBrush, Electric Trimmers so you’llbe able to earn 6% cashback on these items.

All Health, Household and Personal Care are unfortunately ineligible for cashback.

      Hope that clarifies things.

      • Thanks for this, my transaction tracked at the 6% + $10 bonus

  • Hi @TopCashback AU Rep (or other OzBargainers)
Can you tell me if the $10 cashback would be eligible for CD's/DVD's/Vinyl? TIA
    savemore

    • +1

      Hi @savemore
Unfortunately cashback isn't available on CDs/DVDs/Vinyls so this also wouldn't be eligible for the $10 bonus.

      • Thanks for the quick response. I'll see if there is anything else that I'm after that meets the criteria, as this is a great offer

        • +1

Would love to see physical music included in future cashbacks.

  • -1

    Confusing inclusion and exclusion list.
    Included: Tools 5%
Excluded: Home Improvement, Lawn & Garden (tools is a subgroup of these two categories)

    • +1

Hi @knackers just to confirm all tools will be eligible for 5% cashback. All other items within the Home Improvement and Lawn & Garden categories will not be eligible for cashback.

  • @TopCashback AU Rep Hi, is "Where's Spot? Book & Toy Gift Set" by Eric Hill included? It has a book and a plush dog toy. Thanks Woof

    • Hi @trixieb it looks like that item falls under the Book category and therefore would be eligible.

      • Great thanks

      • Rep, can we expect an app compatible with our region?

        • +1

Hi @chyawala yes you can! I'll be sure to keep you posted :)

  • I am on ShopBack and Cashreward. So far Cashreward is best in term of instant tracking when I do it on app. ShopBack takes 2 days for tracking confirmation. But no issue when you submit missing claim so far. Does topcashback has app version like their other two?

  • Any one get cash back so far? I bought something from Chemist Warehouse at 09/03 but my account still show up " pending "

    • Chemist Warehouse usually takes 2-3 months before confirmation, irrespective of which cashback business you use. I bought from Chemist Warehouse (via Cashrewards) on 28 March, and estimated approval is 6 July.

  • I ordered via Amazon App about 8 hours ago, but hasn't tracked, should I be worried?

    • I did mine on my phone on safari about same time. Still not tracked. My AliExpress (for $10 offer) didn’t track either and had to submit claim.

      • +1

Same but I asked and heard back from the rep:

Amazon track once the item has been shipped so I wouldn't worry too much now. If it still hasn't tracked once it has been shipped, please feel free to drop me a message and I'll be sure to look into it for you.

Maybe give it a day or so.
        Free returns on amazon anyway

  • +2

Why does their referral program not provide any benefits to new users? ☹️

  • Are umbrellas eligible for cashback? Classified under clothes and accessories on Amazon, again a bit different to TC listing.

  • Is there any good bonus for signing up?
