Best Laptop under $1000 on Harvey Norman Website

Hi

I am looking to buy a new laptop to use for general work. I need a good webcam and speed for document creation and meetings.

Like many, I have saved an offer with Amex to get a $50 cashback for a $300 spend at Harvey Norman. My wife and I have the offer saved meaning $100 back on a $600 spend.

Can someone please recommend the best value on the Harvey Norman website under $1,000: https://www.harveynorman.com.au/computers-tablets/computers/…

I have it shortlisted so far to:

https://www.harveynorman.com.au/hp-15-6-inch-athlon-3050u-16… - $698
https://www.harveynorman.com.au/asus-15-6-inch-r3-3250u-12gb… - $798 with a $50 gift card
https://www.harveynorman.com.au/hp-pavilion-x360-14-inch-pen… - $798 with no gift card

This post may benefit others looking for a laptop from HN to go with the Amex offer.

Thanks in advance for any help!

For the sake of a $100 discount, You'll be able to find far better value elsewhere

I guess unless work is paying for it and he’s taking advantage of the $100 that technically hasn’t come out of his pocket

      • I'll be paying for this. I did check other websites for these laptops and these seem to be the cheapest. I'm just not sure which is the best bang for buck for under $1000.

Pay a little more for this.
If you smash a Hp screen, throw the item out as their touch screens are around $700. Acer are usually half the price.

Everyone used to poo poo Acer when I used to sell them but I always thought the value for money was decent for budget range

They've been around about the same amount of time as Apple. They are used in many government departments.
They bought Gateway, Packard Bell, Commodore PC, Texas Instruments and e-Machines.

    • Thats actually a resonable laptop for the price. Im guessing it doesn't have backlit keys?

Harvey Normal is not the place to buy cheap laptops. HN sell at RRP or if they are on special they can be run out models. Either way there are cheaper places to buy laptops. Check out previous OZB post to find out the places to buy laptops from.
