Pokemon Arceus is very boring IMO if anyone is thinking of picking it up, you're better off getting BOTW.

    • +2

I never finished the story for Arceus however I enjoyed the type of gameplay BOTW was amazing tho finished the story and did play it after

Wouldn't recommend Arceus, very boring gameplay in my opinion as you're forced to grind to unlock new areas

        • +1

The story wasnt interesting to me like I just wanted to skip the dialogue. I enjoyed the different gameplay and i didn't find it that bad however BOTW gameplay and story was more interesting

    • The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild isn't discounted at EB Games.

  • +2

The two games any switch owner should have, worth it even at full price.

  • +3

It's mental that a 9 year old game, and a 6 year old game, are still considered a bargain for what works out to be $56.50 each.

Don't get me wrong, they're still the best games of their genre in 2023, but Nintendo is overcharging us, and not by a little bit.

    • +3

Nintendo seems to have a policy that the launch price of games is their price until they're discontinued, barring occasional sales. Then the games go out of print, and the price increases. This holds true for any of their "AAA" games… only the very rare Nintendo flops see a discount.

It's infuriating when the general rule is that games should get cheaper over time, but on the other hand, it means that you can confidently buy the game at release and sell it later with very little loss in resale value. Or even a profit if it's out of print. Does this actually make the value of the game worse? It may cost more than you'd like, but also you have some guarantee that the game will have a steady resale value if you ever want to sell it. In the end, it's just time-invariant pricing that incentivises buying the games at launch.

Yeah, but I didn’t pick up BOTW until like a year ago and it was freaking ace.

  • where to get a new switch?

    • +1

best bet is to keep an eye out for switch deals that pop up here and there and use gift cards you've accumulated for extra %

  • When does this deal end?

    • These are part of Amazon's 'Big Smile Sale' which should end 11:59pm (AEST) on 2 April 2023, unless sold out prior.

      • Awesome, thanks!
