  • So wired. Which phones have jack to get inserted?

    • +5

Plenty of older phones, or low-mid range Androids, or people with dedicated media players.

I have these and am very impressed with them for the price, would recommend

    • +1

      Good music players do.

    • +2

SONY Xperia flagship models and also Asus ohones

    • +1

Many of the Redmi and Poco ranges

    • +1

If they're IEMs they were never intended to be used with phones.

    • They are available with usbc cable and mic.
This is the best cheap wired earphone that I found that sounds absolutely amazing that also has a usbc connection. It sounds as good as a $100 earphone.

  • +3

Are the cords so you can tie them onto your ears?

    • Donkey ?

      • +2

        Kong ?

    • +1

nope figured it out last week…, your left and right nostrils…

      • Open mouth for best acoustics

  • +4

personally I'd go for the Hola or QKZxHBB at this budget now

  • Does this come with a 3.5mm jack?

I need something wired for a flight on Tuesday.

    • Yes, they do

      • Thanks, the 2 pin connector confused me

Now I'm looking at the Kiwi Ears though. I think I see a rabbit hole to go down…

        https://www.amazon.com.au/Linsoul-Kiwi-Ears-Cadenza-Intercha…

        • +1

Yes I went down this rabbit hole 6 months ago. The salnotes at the time were very good value, the king of budget iems and decent enough for gaming too. Not sure if they've been overtaken since because the chifi industry is quick.

          • +2

@Mr Simple: Bought them on this recommendation. They sound great and fit well

            • +1

@DiscountForThee: Awesome mate. If you plan to keep long term then start looking at different tips, they can change the comfort and sound profiles a little. I found the foamy types to sound best (for gaming) but everyone's different

  • The Linsoul KZ ZS10 Pro's are also a good deal at the moment for $52.49. Works out to the same price as their AliExpress store but for local stock:

I got a pair delivered today. Not sure if they are worth almost double the cost of the 7hz Salnotes Zero but so far I'm really impressed with the quality, sound and fit.

    • Yea these are great, had a pair but after some time the adhesive or glue starts to come out of the earphone through the back (where the metal is screwed onto the plastic part) and it's very annoying, it becomes so sticky. I was able to remove the adhesive/glue using a bit of nail polish and kitchen paper, but literally the next day it's like a Semtex.

So what headphones do you have?

    Linsoul 7hz Salnotes Zero IEM

Jeez, I didn't ask for a Harry Potter defence against the dark arts spell mate!

  • How do you figure out 2pin connector polarity?
There is a tiny dot on the earpiece but nothing on the cable connector.

    • +1

Same same, but the ergonomics of the bud are messed up if you plug it in the wrong way - easy to tell when you do it.

    • +1

The cables have an L and R marking on them so it's pretty easy to figure out which way the IEMs are meant to be oriented and therefore the orientation of the pins. If you did it incorrectly, then the IEM would be facing the incorrect direction when you go to put them on.

      • I see.
So the dot on the body is useless then. :)

These "L" and "R" on the cable almost impossible to see.

        • I wouldn't call them useless, probably more useful when using third party cables but with the stock cables they're a little less necessary.

  • Crinacle seems to have a hand I tuning these

    https://youtu.be/jyD4orFap10

Bought during a previous deal. Pretty good.
For android folks, wavelet profile already exists

  • hmm once you add the cable, it's $38 plus $10 shipping (no prime)

  • I was going to ask "zero what?" but decided to do my own research.

"By naming it ZERO, we intended to deliver our philosophy of life to every customer. Previously our team has brought Timeless and Eternal to the community, now it’s time for ZERO. ZERO means eternity and mortality without ultimateness. ZERO provides limitless imagination and allows boundless possibilities. Also, ZERO is manufactured in more than one color."

    So there we are then.

  • Can someone recommend some earbuds? I find the in ear ones quite uncomfortable.

    • Have you tried changing the tips? I couldn't stand earphones until I started using the right size tip.

      • I've tried a few that came with the IEMs, haven't found any that are tolerable :(

  • I have sony experia and loving using the headphone jack

  • Just received mine which I ordered yesterday. I was hesitant but finding out that Crinacle helped tune these cheap IEMs convinced me to give them a shot. I have to say, I'm very impressed for the price! The bass is so tight and snappy, feels very clean. I can pick out variations in the low end kicks in some tracks I never knew existed. A caution to those who like to listen loud, you should have some form of EQ handy because otherwise, the higher frequencies are very sharp; which also makes these great for vocals. Sharper than my DT990 Pro which people already complained about for this. Soundstage isn't as wide as the DT990 but still pretty decent for in ears. What a great buy!
