    Public telephones?

    • Yep public telephones.

You make and receive calls via the public telephone system.

Did you downvote? Why was that?

        So boring:)

That's your reason for a down vote?? Seriously! WTH is the reasoning behind that?

  • -4

Seriously, this is why we can not have nice things

Isn't this taking up public resources?

I dont think he is keeping you on the phone. Its sitting there idle and does not really cost telstra anything more if you are making calls on it to other telstra phones.

Like most mobile phone service these days, you pay a flat rate and it doesn't cost you anymore if you make an extra call.

      • What is there's an old lady waiting to use the phone?

Testing is not really a bargain. Maybe a forum post?

So if you got beta access to a AAA PS5 game it wouldn’t be a bargain or your local bowling alley testing out new balls?

What's with all the down votes!!?? Because you may not like the game idea is no cause to down vote.
It is a free game. Download or not is up to you.
Shame on you folks for downvoting with no genuine reason.

Barking? I'm not barking or anything of the sort. Talking in a regular tone, genuinely asking about the downvotes. I think there's no reason for those votes. The comments don't justify it.
Got a person offering a game for free, made from their hard work. Give em a go and not chuck negs at em for no reason is all i'm saying. Maybe it belongs in forums but still…

Because this is a bargain website.I’m failing to see the bargain here.

      • In 1 month or so I assume it would cost money. It is free now. Does that count as a bargain?

a fresh first post from a new seemingly non-personal merchant account…

  • Sounds interesting. I'm curious: how do you receive calls via public phones? I know they can be called, and some do/don't have ringers, but the numbers aren't public are they? There used to be some neat ways to work out the numbers, but I wouldn't think anyone would know enough of them to launch something like this.

Walking around the streets looking for phone booths doesn't appear to be a bargain, more like using Ozbargain for free advertising.

    OzAdvert

    • If it was an advertisement, why are they offering it to you for free?
I paid $20 for an urban scavenger hunt, this is similar, but free!

      • +1

ohhhh I didn't know free means it not an advert

I'm keen to try it out. Have signed up. Thanks OP!

Holy shit, public phones still exist? I would literally have to walk about 40km to get to the closest one.

I don’t think it should be public phones, but maybe “virtual” public phones that ring through the app.

  • What a stupid premise…you can just look up on Google Maps where to find a pay phone.

  • Really interesting concept. I can see it being similar to geocaching or games like Pokemon Go where you need to get out in the world. Clever!
