Mod Note: This is a barebone system that still requires a CPU, RAM, Storage & PSU.
So you need PSU RAM HDD and CPU to complete?
Looks like it.
Will end up costing a lot more than some of the preconfigured 3070 builds such as

You do get a top of the line Z690 board rather than an entry level H510/H610 though, and its DDR5. The 3070 Gaming OC Rev 2 is $828, so ~250 for Z690 board and case is pretty decent value, especially if you're looking to get a better CPU like the 600 or 900K.

~250 premium for a pretty high end Z690 board, DDR5 (albeit probably as dirt cheap of a kit as those bare naked ADATA stick in the BPC build), and the "Stealth" aesthetic. Not too bad honestly
The problem is the case completely chokes air flow. So you don't get the full performance from the system unless you are willing to cut some holes in the case like in the Linus video. The very first poster links to the video.
@Fornax: Yeah that's an issue, which defeats the point of the Z690 as well since I don't think you can go any higher than a 12400F/13400F on this setup with no front airflow.
Its kinda ridiculous how manufacturers are still releasing these cases.
Checking around, seems like people are cooling these with a back to front setup. Top and back intake, front exhaust. Personally I'm not quite convinced that there's enough airflow, if at all on that massive plastic front to exhaust hot air, but it seems to work fine for them.
Although you could do worse, the last Gigabyte board I bought wasn't great. Wouldn't be paying a premium for this barebones system.
Fairly ordinary case, fairly ordinary GPU (in 2023), and a Gigabyte board.
I do not think this is a deal. People that see this need to be aware this is akin to buying a car without spark plugs, battery, and a transmission. You still need to buy more.
It's likely because their suppliers are selling GPUs at much better prices if bundled with a Mobo and case.
GPU sales at double prices are drying up as the rich/gullible/addict buyers run out.
But suppliers don't want to discount standalone GPUs yet. Not while there are still suckers who think this is the "new normal" (prices will never return to the historical trend line). There's a few of these poor sods still buying.
But suppliers still need to clear the excess GPU stock. Plus all the excess mobo/case stock piling up because most builders are HODLing. So instead they are hiding the discounts in wholesale-only bundle-only volume deals.
This is a special GPU not sold stand alone - it can only be purchased in this bundle
Exactly
Agreed it needs to be made clear in the description that if you boot this computer as is, you definitely won't be gaming lol.
I don't get it…. Is it just a case, Mobo and GPU? Seems like an odd combo to sell since you're still missing half the rig…
It's because the 3 parts included are all specially designed to hide the cables.
Mobo and GPU plugs are on the back of the product instead of the front like normal, so the case is custom made to suit.
The parts wouldn't work in any other case without drilling holes to fit the cables through
That detail makes it interesting.
It should be called a bundle and not a gaming system
Barebone Gaming System
Sounds pretty explanatory to me, but the last time and place I had a desktop computer, barebones were a thing.
Realistically a ~$300 discount compared to an equivalent setup. Put in another ~$800 and you end up with an entry range 3070 gaming machine.
Is it just me, or are cpus hard to put in when everything else is pre installed.
Not if you use the intel stock cooler :) with a 12100 or 12400
Z690 mobo with 3070. Great balance there
Official PC of the AUKUS nuclear war alliance.
This is the best computer in the world and always will be, right?
This pc can not be turned on!
But this has a $900 GPU?
Do not buy. Case has no airflow - no front vent or intake fans means your expensive components will cook under load.
No mate. it has 3 x 120 mm intake fans and there are spaces top and bottom in the front panel to suck air in.

Small space at the top and bottom of the panel is a poor use of 3 fans (what’s the middle one doing?)
I would avoid this and get something proper with a mesh front panel for proper air flow, as that will keep your parts much cooler than a case like this (and cheaper too)
I didn’t expect this from BPC Tech …
How much for the drill and the holesaw?
