Just found there is a $34 coupon for this ScreenBar Plus with Dial Controller.
It seems a good price.

I have also checked the wireless controller mode, ScreenBar Halo.
But no discount

  • How does this compare to the yeelight version

  • interested to know what other OzBargainers think if this is a good deal or nah

If anybody thinks it isn't, what is the best lightbar and how much historical price made it good a good deal?

bought a BaseUS one for $32 dollar and happy with it…cannot comment if this is a good deal as I won't spent $175 on a monitor bar…

    • Prob better off getting a Xiaomi one, wireless controller for less than 1/3 the cost.

      • This seems ridiculously extensive for it is.

This Lightbar cost more than my monitor

There's gotta be some pretty wicked features for what is essentially a light at nearly $200.. I got a $2 "bedside table reading light" from ebay and it does a great job.

bought curved blitzwolf monitor light for $60 in a group buy. it has wireless switch, exceeded my expectation. not sure if this is worth the price

This doesn't even have RGB. Is it really a computer screen if it doesn't have RGB?

I have one of these, the pro version, bought for about $100. Decent and nice for curved screens. The remote is a big howyougoing but otherwise, the light is pretty decent and RGB is a bonus.

  • BenQ make monitors for photography, video editing, and website design, i wonder if this bar is marketed to that.

I got this lightbar with damaged box from the Benq website and was $154 including $25 shipping.

Not sure if it’s worth it - I don’t need to adjust the light at all (I just use it on or off) and in terms of reducing eye strain I find it’s more important to light the wall behind the monitor.

On the Benq refurbished website they have the fancier model which also lights behind the monitor for $159: https://www.benq.com/en-au/benq-refurbished-outlet-shop/refu…

"….it’s worth it - I don’t need to adjust the light at all (I just use it on or off)"

I agree: it's not worth it. I bought it a couple of years ago and find the cheaper units I've bought since (for myself and others) to be just as effective. I can't believe I paid almost $200 for it.

Are you sure it was available to add to cart?

When the page loads it shows as "Notify Me". If you scroll down it turns into "Buy it now" but you can't click on it.

  • I'm waiting for a genuine 1000R curved monitor light bar to come on special. I'm surprised there isn't more curved ones available. This price is a bit costy for what it is, compared to the cheaper models of other brands.

My BenQ Light bar just stopped providing warm light. The white light still works. Asked them if it was possible to be repaired and they said no, dispose and buy a new one. It quite literally a month out of warranty. No thanks.

It was a decent unit but not even close to worth the asking price. I'll get the Xiaomi one next time I think.

quite literally a month out of warranty

It's not fair that they won't cover it under warranty if it's just one month out of warranty. Just politely remind them that you are wanting for the item to be replaced under consumer guarantee (remember the consumer law still offers you some additional protection).

      • true. I should reach out again (this was some time ago).

I guess my big issue is planned obsolescence. It's not just money, it's just so much extra waste that's unnecessary. I am absolutely certain it's a very cheap and probably easy repair in there but they won't even consider it.
