No, but it protect you phone from water damage if you drop it into the sink, after the dinner when you do the dishes.
If the products at that price live up to the quality promoted, there must have been some kind of assurance such as warranty or replacement when the products just happen to fail. Surely, I can see no such thing. Just think of a situation where your iPhone, which is supposed to be water-proof, got water inside and become useless, what are yhey going to say?? "good luck next time, mate".

have reapplied the case about 20 times
owned the case for 1 week. case is second generation.
have contact Lifeproof, the most they said was 'send us pictures of the problem' despite the 'no questions asked guarantee'
I normally am the least informative person on ozbargain, but i would steer clear from this case. a lot of people get lucky and have a fully functional case! but i was one of the many that still got a dud. second generation or not.

Sealed, Water proof case will possible have this kind of problem, basically, little part of air sealed in the case when install.and also, you need to do the water test before install on the phone.
if you kept email, they will send you a brand new replacement (after), the customer service is just FINE…
also if you do not need Waterproof function just Shock proof and dust proof , we have Otterbox Defender , also very tough case
