Don't believe the 10,000 lumen claim, probably at its peak <4,000

If they lie about that, why believe any of the other details in the listing. Buy from brands that don't lie about their specs.

Torque Test Channel on YouTube has some good flashlight lumen/runtime comparison videos

    Edit

many postive reviews on Amazon (4 stars from 1282 reviews

13% 1-star reviews, mostly about the torch not turning on for the second time, or failing after charging for the first time, battery not holding charge

  • How do you find the original/normal price?

When I visit the page all I see is:

    Lightning Deal Ends in 03h 52m 28s

    $29.99

A 10000 lumen zoomie using XHP70.2. Not in a million years. I'd rather rub to sticks together until they burn.

If the first bullet point is false, I'd take the rest with a grain of salt.

There is no reason to buy dodgy products with blatant lies in their specs.

  • Heap of shit torch. Do not buy.

    • -1

Incredible analysis, any further detail on your findings would be most welcome

  • Is it not normal practice for companies to over-hype or overstate the capabilities of their products? Apple anyone? Why crumble at this particular company? I am so befuddled right now. lol

    • +2

Apple and other mainstream companies cherry pick benchmarks. This torch's specs are just a straight out lie.

    • Over-stated capabilities are still capabilities.

For a product like this an overstated capability might be

      10,000 lumens*

      * for 90 seconds at a time before overheating protection kicks in

these 10000 lumens however are just imaginary, there's no way to get 10,000 lumens out of this torch.

It would be like apple advertising a 10000x5000 pixel display on their macbook, just blatantly false.

  • %100 claimed still on sale, lol

  • Loving the thumbnail of the trees that are so very brightly lit… from a completely different source behind the torch!

I watched a YouTube clip about these flashlights. TL;DR they are all bulltwang. None of them get close to their lumens or battery life claims. In fact, one of them even had the exact same thumbnail.

  • Almost bought this but saw negs. Any recommendation on a good rechargeable torch that is bright and reasonably priced. A positive if from Amazon I need one in the next few days. Thanx
