  • They are also clearing the Logitech G PRO Mechanical Gaming Keyboard for $88 if you use the same coupon. I haven't posted it as comments in previous posts weren't very positive.

    • Isn't Black the 80g switches?

      What am I Hercules??

  • Almost certain shopback will do eBay boost on Wednesday so worth a wait.

    • Don't coupons usually void cashback stuff?

      • Depends on the deal. If they do a boost for everyone + westpac lounge. 1% + "x%" from westpac will allow for coupons.

        • Don't have a Westpac card any more but I'll keep an eye out. Thanks.

  • How quiet is it? I like the feel of mechanical keyboard, but didn't like the sound produced.
By the way, I am not sure why I got $25 discount instead of $15, which bring the price down to $144

Just a rubber dome keyboard. Sounds like it ideal for you. P.S These ain't mechanical keyboard but similar feel.

      • Wow thanks.
Out off my budget tho, will keep an eye hope to see it sub $200 soon

You could look into another brand? Eg leopold or keychron would be a pretty similar price. Anything not blue is reasonably quiet to be honest.

      • Thanks, I'll try to find any review for those brand.
I am not following keyboard's tech update, not really understand what blue or green or red means.

        • Google and YouTube is your friend, lots of beginner-friendly info and videos out there. Good luck.

    • Not very. Still pretty dang loud in an office environment. I regret buying a mechanical keyboard.

With laptop keyboards, the instant I press the key, I’m sliding/moving my finger over to the next key. Because the travel is so deep, I kept hitting the side of other keys. So I had to change the way I type, more of an exaggerated key press, like typing on an old type writer (if you’ve ever used those). Slower and more strain on the fingers. I feel like gamers got back into these for gaming and it’s spilled over to every day. If Logitech made a exactly the same KB but with chiclet keys, it would be a winner.

There are silent switches out there, which drastically cut the sound profile. Not all mechanical switches are loud. But getting more into the custom sphere from there on if you start to look at case foams and other mods to make it quieter.

They do have a low profile series of G boards, don't they?

Keychron and a bunch of other brands also have their own low-profile boards as well

Hi, thanks, I didn’t know there are “low profile” mechanical KB! I’ll look into it. The Logitech one you linked looked good, but I meant a KB the size of the mini. It fits in my laptop bag perfectly. I’ll checkout keychron thanks!

  • type feelings were terrible….

    • How so?

      • Well, you need to try it yourself.. but if you are looking for machanical type feelings this is not the way to go

        • I agree with it not being the full mech experience but by no means a terrible typing experience.
In terms of feel, it's not as nice as my kids blue switches, but feels like a HUGE step up from the 3 other MX Boards I own (laptop style) .. and with owning 3 of them, I think it's clear how much I personally love these keyboards.

Sound is good too, I and family are easily annoyed by typing sounds and whilst this is a lot louder than the laptop style boards, it's quiet enough for me to type all day long and no one get frustrated / irritated (WFH setup is in the lounge room where home schooling is done too).

Two complaints: The bolt connector meant having to upgrade my near new mouse (Master 3 > Master 3S) as it wasn't compatible (2 USB ports on work laptop only); and the number 9 key backlight stopped working for one day before coming good again. Only time will tell how long the backlight lasts.

  • Thank you and I got one with $144.

    • How $144?
