This popular game is on sale again for $59. From what I've heard, people who have purchased the game prior swear by the game's quality.

Note that JB Hi-Fi will price-match this, if you have any vouchers or want to stack with gift cards.

Luigi embarks on a dream vacation with Mario and friends upon receiving an invitation to a luxurious hotel. However, his dream quickly becomes a nightmare when King Boo reveals everything had been a ploy to capture Mario and friends. With the assistance of Professor E. Gadd once again, the reluctant and cowardly hero Luigi traverses up and down treacherous floors of the now-ominous hotel on a quest to save them. Wield the upgraded Poltergust G-00 to slam and blow away the ghosts’ defences, or summon Gooigi, an all-green doppelganger that can help Luigi overcome obstacles he can’t get past alone. Interchange between Luigi and Gooigi as one player, or grab a friend and control one each. For more frenetic multiplayer action, race the timer to clear various objectives on a series of floors in ScareScraper mode. ScareScraper mode can be played online or locally with up to eight players on four Nintendo Switch systems.

    Good game

    • Currently on the fence on whether to get it!

The graphics in this game are pretty great considering it's running on an eight year old Tegra chip.

      • Go for it…you will not be disappointed

      • Really fun co op game

I loved this game. Will say though. The control system took me a LONG time to get used to. And i've been playing games for decades. Once you wrap your head around it the game is one of the best!

Odd, I never had a second-thought of the controls, felt quite intuitive to me (a decades-long gamer also).

Anyone on the fence too, this is probably the best entry in the series yet. Dark Moon (aka Luigi's Mansion 2) was an excellent 3DS title and this only doubles-down on what made that game so good. There's a big variety of levels, clever power-ups, and those distinct personalities for ghosts (whom I felt are more engaging than the titular hero) made for laughs (I lost my s**t watching a ghost floss his butt with a toilet brush) and knowing their weaknesses. It's a gorgeous Switch title, and can't wait for the next entry of this loveable franchise.

I played with a switch pro controller and had to change the default setting for the vacuum direction. I couldn't aim at anything with it set to the default. Forgot what the name of the setting was.

      • Yep i was the same too. Can't remember either. But i know if i didn't change that setting it would have been impossible to play!

"This is an amazing game experience that will give me hours of enjoyment. I could also sell it afterwards to recoup a large part of my investment,. I think I'll keep putting it off, though, because $9 is a lot of money. Sorry, I got distracted. Two large flat whites, please. No, take away, thanks, we're just going to smash them while we look at our phones and not even notice what we're drinking."

Have they updated it with inverted controls yet?

    • +1

I was about to post this to note for folks that no it has not been updated with inverted controls.

Trivial for some but makes a hell of a difference for others.

I want to come back to it sometime and just force myself to adapt, but muscle memory is tough to overcome.
