    • +3

Driver already started to cancel the order

      • +5

Mine went through, I did give them a 50% tip though lol cause it was only like $2 😂😂

        • +9

It went through however driver won’t know the tips till one hour after completing the order. Personally I’m an ue driver, should go there and deliver my order by myself.

He’s waiting, let’s see what turns up!

            • +6

@Natarai: I’ll tip cash on arrival, the lady has been waited there for 20 min so far. Feel sorry for her.

              • @rartelif: Someone gonna call a manager soon when they see a lot of shakes n nugs orders..

                • +8

@Natarai: These managers are promoted from Mooroolbark and most of them are teenagers, don’t really care about the service or job

    • After 40min changed to the 3rd driver to pick up the order lol

      • +1

Delivered some ice cold nugs haha

        • I got them too. Drink is fine, nuggets are cold. For that price never mind. Thanks op

      • -1

Maybe I’ll consider it if they pay me to eat it

        • Sign up as an Uber driver and collect your own order

  • +10

Uber has charged people who have exploited hacks before.

    Just a warning.

    Nuggets also freeze in freezer

    • -1

Uber doesn't care at all, it's all money for them anyway from transactions.

    • -1

      Nuggets also freeze in freezer

      most things do, genius!!!

    • +1

I wasn't charged when Domino's gave away free pizzas and it doesn't look like anybody else was either.
I agree with the OP though, only order what you genuinely want. Less risk and less waste.

  • +21

just got a call from the manager and he was upset

    • Did you tell him you will get the ACCC involved if you don't get your free nugs?

    • +3

what did the manager say to you that indicated he was so upset?

      • +11

        He kicked his dog.

      • Manager should raise in-app feedback with corporate :)

    • +1

about you guys milking his nuggets for all their worth?

      • Ordering Hokey Pokeys for your daily dairy dose

        and weekly kilojoules

        • +1

          That's what it's all about.

    • +3

Did he call you a professional?

  • +3

You will most likely be charged for the order, look at the doordash incident before

    • +4

Be sure to cancel credit card before hand

      • +1

Could try empty coles mastercard/vanilla visa GC if UE haven't blocked their BIN yet. Alternatively use revolut, wise, etc disposable card.

    • +7

      What doordash incident?

      • yeah what doordash incident huh…..

      • +1

People raked up $10,000+ like each on doordash for free. Then doordash decided to bill them.

Was hilarious but people were taking the piss like.

      • +1

After giving it a search, I'm gonna guess they're referring to this.

Bit different imo as that error appears that you were still agreeing to the amount of $x for your food, it just didn't charge you at check out due to a glitch. So I'd say it's fair they charged you later after it was fixed.
Whereas this one Doordash is telling you this food is $0 (obviously an error), but you haven't agreed to a higher amount, and I don't think they'd reasonably be able to charge you the full priced amount.

        Disclaimer: I used neither error

  • -1

My McDonald's has no pricing errors :(

    • +83

      Mine has a lot!

      McFlurry - $6.70

      • +1

        wow talk about highway robbery……

  • +4

    Feel bad for the employees

      • +7

You obviously haven't worked in a customer service based job before and it shows.

          • +4

@9hundred: Who said anything about absorbing the error? I didn't, you just made that up to create a whole new topic.

reloxation said "Feel bad for the employees", I don't know where you got revenue loss from that nor my comment to you.

If you own a shop, then you should know that workers who get an instant huge amount of orders which out of the norm busy period will be burnt out, stressed, rushed and fatigued, resulting in more mistakes and sickness.

But hey, you own a shop, you should know this already huh.

            • -2

@hasher22: i always point out to my son when it’s really busy at maccas as we don’t use drive through “ that will be your job if you fail school “

          • +4

@9hundred: (profanity) me, glad i’m not one of your employees.

    • +3

Feel bad for whichever employee was responsible for setting the prices and conditions on the Uber Eats portal. I've made a mistake in code that produced 12 more of a certain product a day than was needed and felt bad, it was a week before they noticed so there were like 80 extra.

      • +1

people want fast, people want cheap ….errors will happen in code if you don’t give people time to test ……

      • hopefully drove an improvement focused on the processes - if it was important enough

      • +1

Some poor employee in India who now wont' have a job

        • -2

Should never have had an Aussie job in the first place. Plus the quality likely would've been higher if local.

  • +2

Think it may have been picked up on - can't get it to generate.

  • I feel like nuggets

    • How many?

      • +4

        • I guessed 9∞

        • Some infinities are larger than others. Or maybe not.

    • 900-nugget split personality

  • +3

Would love to see what’s happening in the kitchen there rn with the confused employees loading endless nuggets

    • easy …. cook them and bag them ……it’s not masterchef where they need to add flair or invent a new recipe ….. only so many they can cook with the deep fryer …..no bonuses for quicker turnaround ….bigger issue would be rushed and didn’t cook nuggets long enough …..

      • The fryers run on a timer. Some stores even have a mechanism that lifts the basket our of the oil when the timer goes off, but most will just beep very loud until you lift the basket and press the button.

  • -5

Please be considerate of others and don’t order excessive amounts that you cannot eat. We do not want to be promoting food waste.

I'm curious as to your thinking which lands you at "inconsideration and food waste is wrong, but ripping off maccas/ubereats is fine"

    • +18

imagine thinking two large corporations pioneering obesity and predatory price gouging globally give a f about you or this price error

      • So it’s not about the nuggets, it’s about payback?! I see madness in your master plan… two wrongs don’t make a right

        • +4

There are 3 wrongs here. So it does make it right.

      • +2

Main problem with your logic is that McDonalds restaurants are owned by franchisees and not McDonalds.

        • except when they aren’t

        • -1

And they conveniently overlook the fact that Uber is losing billions

          • +1

@tharlow: And you overlook this: Uber is still getting their delivery fee though. They are just losing their greedy 30% cut of the food price as well, which has single handedly exploited and made life harder for thousands (millions?) of small businesses.

  • oh damn….missed out on the free obesity and diabetes. better luck next time i suppose…..

  • +2

This is probably the best price error of the decade

    OK LOL

    • At least he didn’t say century.

  • -1

updoot even tho mcnuggets taste like soap

  • Not working now
