No just don't get the two mixed up when your drunk and need a nice cup of coffee from all those espresso machines that are appearing here

  • Lol that would be awesome

  • Canon Warranty or Kogan Warranty ??

    • Kogan, I'd presume.

    • Canon Warranty is horrible.. very long story. Charged me for shipping and quote fee when I thought it'll was free and gave me a hefty repair fee. How is the Kogan Warranty?

      • +2

I presume yours were out of warranty.

wasnt this $5 from Kogan last week?
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/75876

    hehehe..

  • Would prefer the 24-70 despite the higher price!

    • Same waiting for that lens to drop too.

    • Me 2

      • me 3.

alreadt have the 70-200IS, and a 24-70 would be perfect.

    • i chose this over the 24-70 and haven't regretted so far ;)
You cannot compare oranges with grapefruits…

    • I have this 24-105 and while the 24-70 is f2.8, I prefer the overlap I get between this and the 70-200. I find 70mm a little too short.

I guess I do most shooting outside so don't need the 2.8 too much, not to mention ISO performance getting better and better on the bodies.

All Canon L lens are protected with International warranty. If this has only Kogan warranty, that means this is taken out of 5DMK2 pack.

    • LOL, where did you get this info about international warranty?

    • That use to be the case, but is no longer.

    • utter nonsense…. do not believe this comment…

now the question is, where to get the best value b+w uv filter for this bad boy. cheapest I saw on amazon was $64 before shipping.

    • +1

I bought a Hoya filter from Ebay even before I bought this lens. lol.

      • lol! maxsaver has a filter for $46 before shipping… so tempting

  • Its an L series Lens so no matter where you are world wide canon will repair it under their warranty.

EDIT: Apparently this has changed since Sept Last year. Now warranties are region locked.

    • They stopped issuing the green cards 2 years ago FYI. Not Sept last year.
