We are truly in a better time…
As long as you don't need a new GPU
or you don't fill up the petrol and consume foods
Or if you dont have a mortgage.
Or you didn't buy RAM on an ozbargin deal sometime back..
Or you don't rent 😢
Or you don't live in WA (shipping costs)
Or you don't have a great wage
Or you don't have a PC already
Or you don't need potato crisps or chips whilst building your new PC 😂
Works out cheaper with shipping when buying from their eBay store if you have eBay Plus

Don't know if GSkill would use x16 width chip in this kit?
in short 8GB per stick DDR4 have a chance of using either x8 or x16 chips, and x16 have quite a lot lower performance in memory heavy task like gaming.
Damn I paid $99 for the 3600mhz cl18 variant. Sick of getting ripped off when it comes to pc's
That is pretty bad given that you could have spent just a bit more and gotten 2x16GB: https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/g.skill-ripjaws-v-32g…
I did buy it in July 2022. Not sure the slightly tighter timings are worth $25 though.
It feels like the cursed period of RAM pricing was just yesterday - picking up a Corsair Vengenace DDR3 set like this for $285 to build on a Strix Z370-E with an 8700k. For context, that motherboard was ~$320 and the CPU ~$500. 2018 was a shitshow. We are truly in a better time…
