Chemist Warehouse: 50% Upsized Cashback (Capped at $15 Cashback and 1 Transaction Per Member) @ TopCashback AU

2323

Reached out to the rep from TopCashback AU to see if there was a Chemist Warehouse deal coming (because I'm running low on panadol, obviously) and the rep surprised me with this wonderful new offer.

This deal is way better than Shopback's previous offers, most of which has a lower cap and requires Westpac Lounge. This deal can be taken up by everybody, nobody is left behind here!

Don't forget you get a $30 bonus (confirmed when referee earns $10 cashback) when referring another person. If you don't have an account yet and would like to enjoy the benefits of this deal, use the OzB referral generator to join up if you haven't.

Enjoy :)

    Not a bad deal.

I'm curious, has anyone been able to cashout anything from TopCashback AU without any issues?
Seems TopCashback AU is somewhat new (To this community anyways - I for one had never heard of them prior to today) and seems they're still trying to get their foothold on Ozbargain against the competiton (ShopBack, Cashrewards etc).

    • +4

I've been with them on the TopCashback.com international website and had no issues

  • +4

Look like an OK deal to me.
Any feedback on TopCashback AU as I have never used them ?

    • +5

Well they track, just like SB/CR. That's the important bit.

      • +15

The important bit is getting your money when you cash out

  • +3

    Click & Collect allowed?

    • +5

yes, no mention of it in T&Cs. generally is the case with CR/SB as well

      • Purchases must be completed immediately and wholly online.

        Kinda concerned about this line.

        • +6

I don't think that means anything other than fully paying for your order online

    • +2

@Kogami I can confirm from the rep that Click & Collect eligible

  • I just registered it a minutes ago, but I don't know whether I can get the bonus referral or not!

    • +2

      bonus is for the referrer

      • +1

Right, I just purchased with click n collect for $30! Thanks OP!

  • Website says capped at up to $15 per member? No mention of per transaction

    • +2

      According to rep:

Cashback is limited to a maximum of 1 transaction per member, regardless if the $15 cap is reached or not

Only the first transaction will be valid for cashback at 50% rate (capped at $15)

      • Bummer, a last minute change? ShopBack's 50% deal was per transaction.

        • ShopBack's 50% deal was per transaction.

Can you link the deal please?

      • Sorry, to clarify, transaction means a few things you buy at a time right? Not just one product.

        • +2

That is entirely up to you. You can buy only 1 product, or as many as you want. Just make sure it is all in one order as only the first order (ie. transaction) will count

      • Hmm but there's no mention of only 1 transaction on their website though:

"Capped at up to $15 per TRANSACTION per member"

Not everyone is going to come via ozbargain first to find out that a rep has stated something different

  • +2

Have used Top cashback for years in UK. Seems they have arrived on Ozzie shores. Decent enough to deal with and are a big player in cash back in UK.

    • Same here. Used them when i lived in the UK for 7 years or so.

  • Excellent offer I was wondering when TopCashback will offer some decent Australian deals.

  • is it live now?

  • +1

    I'm giving them a go

  • Website only says 5% ??

  • I assume items on Special are also included as not seeing anything saying otherwise?

    • Nothing on the T&Cs about that so safe to say so

  • +2

Been using UK and US version and able to withdraw money.

  • Giftcard usage not allowed, I have a $100 card i have been wanting to use..great deal still, thanks OP!

  • +16

i remember trying topcashback on a deal years ago.

it tracked, but they told me their partner arbitrarily, quietly, and pre-maturely ended the cashback promo, so i can go kick rocks.

    never again.

    • +14

I had similar experience with them (UK). Lost $70 cashback and they said they can do nothing. I eventually deleted my account

  • +1

    First time hearing about Topcashback.

    • +7

They've been around longer than Shopback but just not in Australia

  • +1

Not off to a good start my purchase made at 12:07am Sydney time on March 9th has just tracked showing March 8th as the purchase date with 5% cashback, not 50%.

    Fail.

    • +5

I'll flag that down with the rep and keep you updated :)
At least it tracked, that's more important. Rates can easily be fixed

      • +1

The order confirmation email from Chemist Warehouse says "Your order date & time 09/03/23 12:05AM" The Paypal receipt emails came through at 12:07 AM

        • I'm making an order now - will let know you what happens. Rep will reply soon hopefully

    • +1

Yeah mine too. Showing as 8th March and only 5% but also showing the wrong purchase amount (nearly double what I ordered), but the correct order number.

  • +2

Hopefully they fix mine too as my cash back isnt confirming at the 50%.

Ordered at 12.40am Sydney time today and received tracking email that cash back is $1.40 !!

    • Does your Purchase Date on TopCashback Earnings page show as March 8th or March 9th ?

      • +1

oh lol it says 8th March

        • Be interesting if this 5% cashback March 8th purchase date problem only affects orders placed between 12:01 and 01:00, if so that would suggest that their system is not handling daylight savings correctly.

    • +4

Sounds like a technical issue on their side if everyone has the same problem. Have flagged it down with rep and hopefully it will all be fixed soon :)

    • +4

      Response from rep:

Thanks for flagging the rate - it should all be uplifted now to the correct amount and future transactions should track at the right rate. We're also looking into the day difference as it seems to be a reporting issue on the brands side. But regardless, we'll make sure everyone gets the correct commission.

  • OP, I really hope you don't actually buy Panadol.

    • +1

Nah I'm getting Nurofen. What's wrong with Panadol may I ask?

      • +12

Panadol is overpriced, marked up name brand paracetamol. The cheapest Panadol on chemist warehouse is $14.49 for 100. If you're not buying 100 tabs of Panamax for $2.99 that has the identical amount of identical active ingredient, then you need your OzBargain membership revoked.

Nurofen as a company is even worse. They sold their name branded Ibuprofen in different labels and different coloured boxes, with different prices saying they target different things like purple box was labelled for period pain, red was chest pain or whatever. The items in one box were identical to the other. They were fined 6 million Buckaroos. Now they get around this by just varying the ibuprofen mg in each product or maybe adding an irrelevant ingredient.

They're all just anti-inflammatory drugs. Just buy whatever cheap ibuprofen 200mg product your local chemist stocks.

        https://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-04-05/nurofen-manufacturer-hit-with-$6-million-fine-high-court-appeal/8418264?utm_campaign=abc_news_web&utm_content=link&utm_medium=content_shared&utm_source=abc_news_web

        • +1

Thanks so much! I’ll reconsider my purchase choices now

        • I get your point except that Nurofen and Paracetamol are different types of products and not "all just anti-inflammatory drugs"

ExtractThe main difference between the two medications is that ibuprofen reduces inflammation, whereas paracetamol does not.

          • @Borg: Same argument applies - Rafen is a generic Ibuprofen…

          • @Borg: The point here is not to buy Nurafen, Panadol or <insert brand name here> but to buy ibuprofen and paracetamol.

Those are the things that work and matter. Everything else is just fluff so save some money and de-brand your thinking. :)

          • @Borg: I meant all the Nurofen products are just anti inflammatory drugs, not Panadol. It doesn't matter if you bought the fever one or the fast relief one or the Nurofen anti-wife-nagging-headache one, they're all just ibuprofen products.

          • @Borg: Also you used Nurofen, a brand, to compare to Paracetamol, a drug.

      • +1
        • $2.99 for 100 Panamax still can't be beaten for value.

    • +1

All orders are now corrected to the 50% rate

  • +1

anyone else unable to select store for C&C? spinning for ages, then "failed to search stores."

    • Yup

    • +1

The issue is now fixed, it's working now.

      Edit: delete.

  • How quickly does the tracking email come through? Still haven't received mine. Ordered at 12:55am

  • +1

Is anyone having issues with the Chemist Warehouse website? Can't place an order as I'm unable to choose C&C store.
I've used both mobile and PC in the last hour but unable to select pickup store or check availability. Took a while to search and then this message "the stores search fail".

    @Andos86 Just saw your message

    • Yeh I tried on mobile and laptop a few times too. No cigar. :'(

    • +1

Just worked. But no stock in my local argh

      • Same and had to change to store with stock
Also changed items as the prices went up when I was about to pay
        Not tracked yet

        • The catalogue prices (specials) ended midnight.

  • +2

My cashback amount has now been corrected from 5% to 50% on the Account Earnings page

  • +1

Seems like topcashback has a lot of issues….

  • +6

Hey everyone. Response from rep for all those that had their transaction tracked at the wrong rate due to the timestamp error:

Thanks for flagging the rate - it should all be uplifted now to the correct amount and future transactions should track at the right rate. We're also looking into the day difference as it seems to be a reporting issue on the brands side. But regardless, we'll make sure everyone gets the correct commission.

    • @akeno @bozzonac @jmc787

      • +1

Thank you!!! I logged in and can confirmed its fixed

  • +5

Westpac will be the death of shopback. Great way to alienate the majority

    • +4

Probably the silent majority. Plus you, of course

    • +3

      I absolutely agree.

  • +1

Did CWH just inflate the prices of their items? Since when does Jack visit CWH 😭😭

    • +1

The catalogue prices ended midnight. Hence the capped 50% cashback. Nothing to do with jack

    • I eyed many items last night (perfumes). Yes then have increased price by $5 today.

  • Ordered, tracked, it shows $15 earnings even though the date wasn't correct.

BTW, since when cwh doesn't have free delivery over $50

    • +1

I noticed on 3rd March. There is a post in the Chemist Warehouse forum on Ozbargain on the same day. According to archive.org it was still available on 28th February.

    • Dang, thought I was the only one. Nearest CW is an hour away so thought maybe that was why 😅 definitely no click-collect for me

  • Never heard of TopCashback before but this looks good.

Also 3% for Ebay. Looks like no category restrictions either. However it does say "includes the use of a coupon codes" but then below under restrictions "Using a discount code or voucher code not posted and approved by TopCashback."

    • +4

      Hey mate,

Good spot :) Just to confirm cashback is eligible when you use coupon codes on eBay. The other T&C will be removed shortly.

Thanks for signing up to TopCashback :)

      • Thanks for clearing that up! I normally use Shopback for eBay, but since they’ve gone Westpac with everything I’ll give you guys a go.

      • How long do you keep dormant accounts around for?

I used TopCashback a couple of years ago.
Account recovery doesn't seem to work.
It would be great if you send an email before deleting an account.

      • @TopCashback AU Rep DM sent

  • +2

A bit dodgy some of CWH prices. Some products show as having EDLP (every day low price) but when one clicks on the product it shows higher price and not discounted as advertised..
    Example only: All the Beroccas

    • The catalogue prices ended midnight. Hence the capped 50% cashback. Nothing to do with jack

  • Could I ask where to find ozb referal generator for sign up please? Thanks.

    • It’s under the description. Scroll up…

      • Got it. Thank you very much!

  • Can anyone confirm if they’re including GST or not? i.e. should spend $30 or $33 for max benefit?
