How are you finding Duolingo? I've been wanting to learn Korean for ages and have been tossing up whether to shell out for Rosetta Stone or try Duolingo first.
I've been using Mango Languages. Although they lack some features other apps might, overall i found them very useful and helpful. More enjoyable to use than duolingo in my opinion. I recommend checking them out as you can get it free with your library membership.
Keeping note I'm learning Korean and Japanese, I think it's great. The way it progresses you is quite good and well paced. The way it gameifies it can be a plus for some but I appreciate it's casual nature.
Give it a go for a week and see how you go. At the end of the day, it's a learning tool. It's all on the learner's discipline.
나랏말싸미 듕귁에 달아 문자와로 서르 사맛디 아니할쎄
You say what now?!
I'm not going to say samadhi with words and letters.
No longer free 😢
I've been learning Korean for the last month via Duolingo and fwiw, based on my experience, I recommend learning the alphabet first.
Thanks op. I can see it complementing what I've learnt so far.
