Maybe not for all but there is a pretty decent saving on the Garmin Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar model (only Carbon Gray at this price but other models still 15-17% off) if you're in the market.

I did see this drop lower on Black Friday with a free scale and regret not jumping on it ever since but have been keeping an eye out and with no sales and being back down pretty close in price I decided to grab one before a big hike I have planned.

Hope this can help other in the market.

Just a heads up, if you are with Bupa health insurance you get a 25% off Garmin discount code. I think you get 2 codes per year.

So if you know somebody with Bupa, just ask them kindly for their code.

    • I have Bupa health insurance and the discount is only showing as 15% in the liferewards portal unless I am missing something.

It might be a level thing.
I am level 4 and seeing "25% off on a range of Garmin products purchased online"

Ahh ok must be the level, I am just level 1 unfortunately. Have to have a Bupa policy held for many years for the higher levels. Not sure which is lowest with the better Garmin discount.

General consensus has been that solar is a bit gimmicky for only few days extra usage between charging. Definitely not worth the several hundred more - and that's also my experience with 6X solar.

I see the silver non-solar non-sapphire one on Amazon US for $870 delivered less with discounted GCs.

    • What bettery life are you getting? I went from the 5x sapphire to 6 pro solar and got less. Was one thing I was looking forward to was more battery life with the solar version haha

    • The solar certainly is a bit gimmicky for the fenix series, and it impacts the visual quality of the display.

However, to get the multi-band GPS in the Fenix range, you need to get the sapphire solar version.

  • Is there a store where you can try these on?
None of the JB and OfficeWorks stores I've been to seem to have them on display.

    • Maybe try rebel sport

      • Will second rebel. When I picked up my FR935, I tried both on in shop before deciding.

From my experience with Fenix 3,5 and 6x scratches on bezel are visible on carbon grey, but not on silver

  • I’ve got one of these in the solar and battery goes down to 70% after a few days use. Definitely not worth it but meh

  • Anyone got a 25% voucher I could use in the Garmin site. I'll give you a kiss

I have a fenix 5 at the moment. Are people upgrading to fenix 7 or going for the epix 2 instead?

  • Looking for a voucher too please
