Show business / Hollywood type mum who pushed her into child acting and ignored her complaints.

Mother was controlling and abusive. Would go into rages. Encouraged her to calorie count leading to eating disorders. Gave her inappropriate "medical" examinations of her private parts until she was 17. Acting was the mother's dream not hers.

I listened to the audiobook last year. This book did not disappoint. I was never a huge fan of iCarly so I wasn't really aware of her nor her story, but I still got a lot from the book. I think she did well in being so raw and open about her life experience and the complicated relationship with her mother, as well as exposing how shitty the entertainment industry is.

Audio book was enjoyable , had no idea who the author was or her story before .
It's a solid 4/5 rating from me. Believe the book was read by her too.
