Price dropped to $1395 as the next generation LG C3 will be coming soon next month.
The new version has minimal upgrades compared to the C2, so for those wanting the C2 as a monitor, now is the chance to get one!

It looks like it hasn't sold out, so hopefully there's more discounts like that prior to the release of the newer models.
Can't imagine a use scenario in the home for a 42" TV.
When the distant from TV to eyeballs is small.
Popular for a gaming monitor, read the previous thread :P
Read it. As a non-gamer I can now imagine a use scenario, cheers. And for the neggers, be more like @7ekn00.
weird comment. perfect bedroom size tv
Free to Air TV still looks terrible to me on anything bigger than 50". I cant watch TV on friends / pubs 65"+ TVs (unless a good 10m+ away)
So if your eye balls work very well (I'm in the 20/10 vision area), and just watch good ole 'TV', then current FTA is still definitley in the 42" age.
We have a 42 in the lounge. Use a projector in the cinema setup (converted granny flat) for movies. At least the projector is just blurry, and i cant see the pixelation and upscale artefacts.

I use internet steam on my Samsung 75" I think it upscale it to UHD so a bit better and I have no problem
I have one in my home office. Anything bigger is overkill
C3 a big step up from the C2 or nah?
Exact same panel but better processor and overall performance including updated software.
@WrightRightWriteRite - As a TV! We still use a 32” TV and find it’s adequate.
32" TV? My monitor is 32"
32” Monitor? My smartphone is 32”
Is that all? My smart watch is 32" !
@7ekn00: That is what she didn't say
Smartphone, my … is 32"
32" smartphone? My smartwatch is 32"
My screen is 200”
Not everyone lives in a multi-room mega mansion.
Most Australians can afford a 50" and 65" TV. If you want to stare at a 42" telly just because it's OLED, so be it.
@[Deactivated]: Most Australians say 42" is the perfect TV size.
@The Value: Most Australians say you are full of number two.

@The Value: Go rob a bank. Poverty is very unattractive.
@[Deactivated]: Go rob a cryobank. Your face is unattractive.
@The Value: That's not what your mom said
@[Deactivated]: I just asked her. She said told me this isn't true and to get off the internet. I'm out of downvotes. See you tomorrow.
@The Value: Yeah, well tell her she still owes me $125 for the meth and she's not getting her dentures back until I get my mulla.
You really should have just quit the first time you shot your gob off.
So I guess you'll be quitting now. Be the change you want to see.

@scuderiarmani: You're not living by your creed. Your advice is useless.
bruh my monitor is 48", 32" TV is like back to 90s.
Mr. Moneybags over here. We had a single 13" TV in our household in the 90s.
My first personal TV came from Salvos with woodpanelling.
what's the bet EVERYONE would chose this over your 48 'monitor'
48" monitor… the eye strain will catch up with you.
32" tv so povo
Lol
Well this thread took a tumble
.. almost felt like I was in a subreddit
r/ratemytvsizeYou realise it's often used as a Monitor, right?
Why not? That's exactly what I'm considering it for.
@pin4e: Sorry mate I've been looking at QLEDS so seen plenty of them around for under a grand and had them mixed with this OLED so my mistake.
Obviously have zero idea.
Jealousy is sad mate.
@scuderiarmani: Jealous of what? My kids have 42" in their rooms, I have a 65" in my bedroom and 75" in the lounge room… So what is there anything to be jealous of?
You can literally buy 40h inch gaming monitors for under 1k so yeah money spent better elsewhere. Good chat
@Snowy83: Keep wasting your negs on me when you are being made to look like a fool. Sad.
Please post a link to a better monitor for $1400.
Like I said, no idea.
@Snowy83: All Bauhn brand i bet
@MEGASERVE: Nope LG and Samsung kids have hisense.
@Snowy83: Owning the entire range of Ffalcons in your house isn't that impressive if you have no idea about OLED panels move along buddy
@solidussnake: You make a lot of assumptions there pal… You seem to be taking this quite personally. Hit a nerve did I? You overpay on an item and trying to try justify your guilt and stupidity?
@Snowy83: Still waiting for the better monitor mate….
Hit a nerve did I?
Guilt and stupidity? Sounds like you can relate.
You literally don't know what OLED is. How embarrassing.
@scuderiarmani: Just got home from my day out, after all that and me being a douche I had my OLED and QLED mixed up which you can readily get for under a grand.
Please take this as my humble apology and admitting my mistake lol 🙏😊
@Snowy83: Lol all tough until you read up on technology 🤡
@solidussnake: Ok Mr hero know it all…Guess you've never made a mistake huh, I'd say that you've just never been men enough to admit it. Coward
@Snowy83: Being a douche all day ( your words) and into the night it seems, are you drinking ? Why are you so mad all the time 🤡
@solidussnake: Probably because there was no need for you to continue calling me a clown and making it personal, after i came here to apologise for making a mistake. Not too many blokes would have done that, and instead of simply saying no worries and moving on you continued to try belittling me. As for drinking, no i very rarely drink these days. Anyway, have a lovely day, and be better.
@Snowy83: Being better by calling people a coward then wanting sympathy pretty piss poor excuse, no wonder you got plenty of negs… Good chat
Looks sick for a monitor
Can confirm.
So they are not going to use META on C3?
Did I miss the deals on this or are we likely to see under 1100 again?
I guess you missed this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/760174
It was $1116 just until yesterday.
